What is up with people on the internet finding conspiracies in everything that happens? I mean some people can find the most obscure link and they believe that it points to a conspiracy of one kind or another. Are people really getting that paranoid or is this something unique to the internet?

Nah, it's not just here. I have noticed it on other sites. Actually, some of the things I see here are fairly tame compared to other sites. Most of the time I just laugh, then I wonder if people really believe some of this stuff.

Examples: the US right will want you to believe the Peace Marches were organized by traitors and fools. Nixon wanted us to believe Watergate and Cambodia were lies. Warren wanted us to believe Oswald acted alone. McCarthy wanted us to believe Communists ran Hollywood...
