Connection problems

I recently moved out in the country...since moving my net connection sucks. I spend more time re-connecting than actually being online. I have a dial up connection and I have already checked/changed my acess numbers. I have also already checked for modem updates...does anyone have anything else I might try to make it better?

Este, can you get a cable modem? It's a hell of alot faster than dial up.

Or dsl, so that you connection won't come and go away at different times of the day. Not that I've had DSL.

Just got AOL high speed cable...30 trial free...and I think I am gonna keep it!...after a phone modem, it is like night and day....this is fast...real fast

Start button.........settings........control panel.......internet options........connections tab........settings tab........
under dial up properties click advanced . Place check mark in "disconnect if idle" then reset time to 59 minutes.
