Congressman Ro Khanna Visits Taiwan

I think he's got a great perspective and I'm glad Congress is engaging more in foreign relations than the last several years.

“I want to rebalance the economic relationship, the trade relationship, but I don’t want there to be a Cold War,” Khanna, who sits on the House Select Committee on China, said in a Thursday interview with Bloomberg News. “I would not view a trip to Taiwan as precluding engagement with China, so I would do both.”

I did a quick look through the threads on Pelosi's visit here. It seemed like the reality here was nobody really cared. The closest it came I think Rightguide saying we should toss Kamala on the plane two and do a tour of all the local nations just to see if China would do something that stupid. There's like three threads just from that half search thing at the bottom and not one made to a second page.

I googled it. Apparently he’s referring to a report in the Daily Beast about Fox News host Gillian Turner calling out Republicans for not joining Pelosi on her trip to Taiwan.

According to the report, yes. But I didn’t see anything about Fox News “flipping out” about Pelosi’s trip. To the contrary, one of the network‘s hosts criticized Republicans for not joining her on that trip.
 
AP, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, The Guardian, Reuters, USA Today, WaPo, WSJ and most other large news outlets on all points of the political spectrum reported on China’s warnings about the trip.

Someone suggested Fox News “flipped out.” It doesn’t appear their reporting was any different than most other major media outlets.
