Press release:

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Shri Thanedar (MI-13) introduced articles of impeachment against Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, citing a sweeping abuse of power, flagrant violations of the Constitution, and acts of tyranny that undermine American democracy and threaten the rule of law.

"Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unfit to serve as President and represents a clear and present danger to our nation’s constitution and our democracy," said Rep. Thanedar. "His unlawful actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal power and self-interest above public service. We cannot wait for more damage to be done. Congress must act."

The resolution includes seven articles of impeachment outlining a range of constitutional violations:

  1. Obstruction of Justice and Abuse of Executive Power: Including denial of due process, unlawful deportations, defiance of court orders, and misuse of the Department of Justice.
  2. Usurpation of Appropriations Power: For dismantling congressionally established agencies and impounding federal funds.
  3. Abuse of Trade Powers and International Aggression: Including imposing economically damaging tariffs and threatening military invasion against sovereign nations.
  4. Violation of First Amendment Rights: Through retaliatory actions against critics, media, and attorneys exercising constitutionally protected speech.
  5. Creation of an Unlawful Office: By establishing the Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”) and unlawfully empowering Elon Musk to unilaterally violate the Constitution.
  6. Bribery and Corruption: Involving dismissing criminal cases, soliciting foreign emoluments, and extortionate settlements for personal and political gain.
  7. Tyrannical Overreach: Seeking to consolidate unchecked power, erode civil liberties, and defy constitutional limits on presidential authority.

Oh, you know. "Boys will be boys." These articles would be so easy to prove that we could assign an 8th social studies class to do the background research for the House. Mike Johnson will be too busy to be bothered with these trifles. :-/

From the same page linked in the OP:

Congressman Shri Thanedar proudly represents Michigan's 13th Congressional District, which includes Detroit, Downriver, and the Grosse Pointes. As a champion for working families, Shri is committed to advancing economic opportunities, education, healthcare access, and entrepreneurship for underserved communities. Drawing from his journey from poverty to success, he works tirelessly to uplift Metro Detroit, ensuring every resident has the resources and support they need to thrive.
Just once I'd like to see:

Congresscritter Glump, to his irredeemable shame, represents the worthless subhuman animals infesting the 8th District of Missitucky -- What a shithole! No malice, dishonesty, or incompetence on my part can ever suffice to give these wretches worse than they deserve!

Unfortunately Don the Con will not get impeached for a 3rd time. Not until after 2026 when the elections happen.

Congressman Shri Thanedar (MS-13) introduced articles of impeachment. FYP :nana:

Trump will not be impeached, but as his approval rating declines it will be increasingly dangerous for Republicans to vote against impeachments.

It will be increasingly dangerous for them to show any loyalty or support at all to Trump. No one who does will survive the midterms.

I hope you are right. Unfortunately, most lower income whites seem insistent on voting against their economic interests. Unemployed white factory workers think Trump will bring back their factories. In any new factories the work will not be done by factory workers; it will be done by factory robots.

Three House Democrats ask to be removed from Trump impeachment resolution

A trio of House Democrats asked to be removed as co-sponsors of a resolution to impeach President Trump, a sign that many in the party do not want to go down the path of trying to remove the president from office — at least at the current moment.

Reps. Kweisi Mfume (D-Md.), Robin Kelly (D-Ill.) and Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) had signed on as co-sponsors of Rep. Shri Thanedar’s (D-Mich.) impeachment resolution — which includes seven articles of impeachment — but Tuesday afternoon, they went to the House floor and asked for their names to be taken off the legislation. The House clerk granted their request.

Spokespeople for Kelly and Mfume said the lawmakers initially signed on to the effort because they assumed it had been reviewed by leadership. When they learned it was not, they asked for their names to be removed.

BREAKING: House Dems are FURIOUS at Michigan Dem who filed impeachment charges against President Trump – “This is a self-own…”

Well, I did not see this coming.

House Democrats are pissed at Rep. Shri Thanedar for filing impeachment charges against President Trump, and four Democrats who signed on as co-sponsors have withdrawn their support.

I love this quote from one anonymous Dem: “Why would we do something that has failed twice as a strategy and yielded no electoral win? The guy got impeached twice, how did it work out for us?”

Damn straight!

Biden beat Trump,so I'd say it worked out fine....

By all means, impeach him again! Impeachment and lawfare have worked really well for the Democrats.

last time Biden won, didn't he?
Yes, and after two failed impeachment attempts to remove him from office in his first term, followed by 4 years marked by a collection of crazed prosecutors hell bent on prohibiting Trump from being restored to the WH, and an assassination attempt, he’s back! Come on Dems, don’t give up. Impeach him again! 😂

Trump can’t run again. Once he leaves office he’ll have a slew of contempt of court charges.
