Okay, commence celebrating.

seriously, congrats...I quit in 1989. I know it's had a very large impact on my life...

I've never smoked because I saw the struggle my mum and Dad had with quiting. I was proud of them both for going through with that struggle and I'm proud of you too! Well done!

Congrats! I quit in '88

They say that reformed smokers are less tolerant of second hand smoke -- and that's certainly true for me. S'okay, though. I didn't have much use for smokey bars and night clubs in the first place.

Seriously... quitting smoking is a good thing.

My dad died of lung cancer at 42 after smoking two packs of unfiltered Camels a day for over 20 years. He stopped smoking the day they told him it was cancer, but he told me he never stopped wanting a cigarette.

It made my brother stop smoking (he was only 17 at the time.) But I just wish my mom and my uncle would get the picture too.... *sigh*
