What a wonderful thing to do. I've gone back to school twice, once at 30 and again at 41. Enjoyed it more, got more out of it, and got better grades each time. I'm sure that you will, too. (And at not-quite-48 I'm thinking of going back for another degree yet again!)

Um... I'm going to start school aftert he break. So far what I've learned is...

1.) Be sure you know what the words on the forms need. I was thinking that based on Academic merit I could get into a program which I have learned only accepts 400 students at the beginning of fall. For my second choise I put what my mom said she thought I might like. I wasn't sure what it was, but I put it down. I am now in that major looking for how to get out. They take those forms tooooooo seriously!

2.) Going in at the half is messed up.

Two bonuses in one day...

1. I've been accepted to university/college. I start working on my MFA (master's of fine arts) in creative writing in January. Someone dropped out of the program early and I got to jump into their spot. Since I've been out of college for about six years, I'll need some advice from you young-un's (said in creaky granny voice).

2. My ms. was read by an editor over the weekend who proceeded to chew me out in a New Yawka drawl because she stayed up way too late on Saturday night reading it.
