Confusing Words

Auntie and Eve

Thank you for these sites. I have recently realized I have let my grammar usage slide for far too long and need a refresher course on the terms and techniques. These are some wonderful brush up sites.

Here's a site that's been on my favorites for a couple of years. I had another that I really like, but can't find it.

I always get these confused!

DAMP SQUID

DAMP SQUIB

Squid are indeed usually damp in their natural environment; but the popular British expression describing a less than spectacular explosion is a “damp squib” (soggy firecracker).

I was recently called a clamhead (is that bad?). I'd rather be a damp squid. No. A damp clam.

Best to be a "moister oyster"!

Oyster Pie

Eating crackers

crumbs in bed
moister oyster
by my head
spreading
beard apart
juicy
a la carte
pink pearl
on the half-shell

Eating oyster pie

Let's see you make a poem out of a damp clam! The Damp Clam Strikes Again. There you go. No need to thank me for the brilliant title.
