I confess that for the first time in more years than I can remember, I'll not be buying the Radio Times Christmas edition this year. Also, no new Christmas jumpers this year for anyone and only Crimbo pjs for the kids.

Some traditions just aren't as important as saving the pennies for bigger projects in the next year.
