Someone who does this is clearly insecure within themselves and so they feel a need to make others feel insecure and crappy. If you leave Lit for them then you're giving in to that person's sick intentions. Just post their name or report them to the mods and press the ignore button so you don't need to listen to them.

It might be disconcerting but they're probably aware that you are more current on the course work then them having finished your bachelor's degree so recently. I remember feeling a bit like that to start with, but most senior PhD students were very supportive of all of us first year PhD students where I was, so hopefully you'll receive the same kind of support . Either way, you already know a lot, you'll learn more, and you're going to do great .

Thank you. It is nice that everyone is very supportive and helpful though but at times it can be disconcerting. But I am enjoying doing what I like. It is very satisfying.
