I have a question and it's a little embarassing, but I figured this was the place to post it. I hope someone can help me out.

I haven't had many partners in my life and as a result, haven't seem many penises (or is it peni?) Anyway, I'm pretty sure my current lover is uncircumsized. It's not something I want to ask him (I mean - how does one really bring up that subject? On our way home from the movies? During a game of Scrabble??)

Ok - on to my question. He often loses his erection when he puts a condom on, and, while he is on the thick side, says it's uncomfortable to wear one. He always does though and has, in no way, tried to pressure me into changing my mind about the condom. Does his being uncircumsized have anything to do with the way the condom fits? We've tried larger condoms (the trojan magnums have had a little better result, but not much.)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sugar.

If you don't know whether he's circumsized or not, how do you know if he's on the thick side? If he's not circumsized, there's a flap of skin around the head when he's soft that may retract part or all of the way down when he's hard but that can probably be slid up and down. If there's skin sliding around near his head, he's not circumsized. Otherwise, he probably is.

Anyway, most men don't like condoms, many men lose their erections or complain that condoms reduce feeling or are uncomfortable. Not much you can do about it. Try different kinds. An uncircumsized guy I was with really liked the Inspiral condoms. They twist around in a way that feels more like foreskin sliding which is the sensation an uncircumsized guy is used to. However, that guy was the one guy I've ever known who never complained about using condoms and would get harder while putting one on rather than softer. It was refreshing.

There is skin sliding around the head. As for how do I know if he's on the thick side - my fingers don't quite touch each other when I wrap my hand around him - even around the base. And I have pretty large hands.

Inspiral? I'll look into it. Thank you for the advice.

Sugar.

I used to hate waring condoms...I am a little on the thick side myself and most condoms are not designed for that. I don't think circumsized or un-circumsized is an issue...although I am so perhaps there is.

I had a similar problem as your partner. Trying to put on a codom that is to small is frustrating and breaks concentration...resulting in lost erection. However I discovered Trojan Large Lubricated condoms and they are great. They are in a green box if they are available in your area.

BTW, another way to avoid the loss is for you to get involved and put the condom on for him...worked for me.

Yes, there's a good trick I learned in a book to put one on with your mouth. Has gotten good reactions from almost every guy I've tried it on except the one who most condom-shy. He liked one brand and one brand only and for me to put it on fast and no tricks or talking.

I do think guys should practice this stuff at home. It's an inevitable situation. Why not plan ahead for it?

You can go here : http://www.yuvutu.com/modules.php?name=Video&op=view&video_id=4316 to view an uncircumcized cock. If he's circumcized you can't pull the turtleneck up around the head.

You can go to http://www.condomania.com and order custom-fit condoms or extra-large. Tons of choices.

THe other replies are on the money about the difficulty of some of us to maintain a full erection while bundled up. The only choices there are to look at the thinner condoms or the lambskins that transmit more heat and sensation.

Here are a couple of other videos of uncut cocks. Type "uncut" in the search box for pornotube to find even more

He can likely overcome losing his erection by using a condom while masturbating.

It also may help if YOU put the condom on during sex. Make sure you read up on how to do it properly with an uncircumcised penis - there are specific instructions here, and ask him to show you, if necessary (but make sure he's using the proper technique in the instructions). The drop or two of lube (either water-based or silicone) in the tip really helps with comfort/sensitivity for most men.

If you are comfortable enough with the man to have sex with him then you should have no problem in having this conversation. The next time he's about to put a condom on pull back the covers and ask

"Hey, are you circumcised?"

It's a safe bet that he will chuckle but he will answer the question. That opens the door for

"I was wondering whether being circumcised (or uncircumcised) was making it hard (scratch that, say difficult :) ) for you to maintain an erection. Do you think that we should try a different brand of condoms?"

I can guarantee you that having those kind of conversations with him will improve your sex life. Early on in our relationship my girlfriend told me that the only way that she cums is through oral sex. Over the years I've learned a few more ways to get her off but without that initial conversation she would have been going unsatisfied because I wouldn't have known about her wants and needs.

I'd suggest that you start by talking to him about what you can do to help please him, then talk about what he can do to please you.

First off, good for you for insisting on a condom. Don't stop.

Secondly, I can fit my hand inside of a condom, he can fit his penis. I'm a grown man.

Finally, it took me about a dozen different types of condoms before I found one where I could have the sensation so I could have sex and orgasm with one on. Not all condoms are equal and not all men can use the same type. Try different ones!

I wanted to Thank all of you for the info. I was very informative and to rthnck thanks for the link to condomania.
Have a great day!!

I have gotten them to stretch from the shower head to the bathtub and hold about 2 gallons of water before popping.
What can I say, I am the experimental type.
The most fun I have had with condoms didn't involve sex:)

I've seen Sue Johannsen (sp?) put her entire forearm into a condom on her Sex with Sue show. The "it's too small" argument makes me roll my eyes.

I'm in the same shoes as your partner, I dislike comdoms and sometimes I lose erection shortly after I pick up a condom, especially when I made love to a new girl for the first time.

I believe practice is a good idea.

I found it's also hard for me to use condoms if I don't use them for a while.

My wife usually do oral for me before she puts a condom on my penis, it does work for me.

I've seen that too. It's not the guy's cock, but his ego that's too big.

My Husband (circumsized) always found condoms a bit tight, but loved the Inspiral. They were much better than either the Magnum or Pleasure Plus and I'd recommend them to anyone. They have what I can only describe as an enlarged, swirled pouch at the end. Here's a picture for anyone who has never seen one:

A bit of lube on the inside of the condom also makes it more enjoyable for the man -- just a drop or two in the tip -- as does learning how to put one on him without much of an interuption.

Good luck!
