Concerned about shaving

I know there seem to be hundreds of other topics on shaving and I didn't want to start a new one but I didn't know where else to put this.

Now this may be a dumb question but its something I've been worried about. I have to go in to the doctor soon for a sort of check-up or physical. Its been years since my last one and in that time I started shaving off all of my pubic hair. I think this is more common with women and may not be as big a concern for them, but I'm a guy and am uncomfortable about possibly being asked to undress and having a doctor or nurse see that I'm shaved or wondering what they might think.

Has anyone else, male or female, gone through this? What happened? Should I be worried about it at all? There really isn't a whole lot I can do about it I guess since even if I was to start letting the hair grow out it wouldn't be long enough by then.

There's not a whole lot that doctors and nurses haven't seen, so, I think you're worrying too much about nothing. Just be you, who cares what anyone else thinks?

I'm sure they have seen it before and I probably shouldn't think about it but its just different when you're sitting there naked in front of a strange doctor or nurse.

I just went last month and no a word was said to me about it...and believe me I could tell that it is not something that he sees every day here...

I got a laugh because after the fact the nurse asked me how I did that...wasn't I afraid of cutting myself...

She let me know later when she called with the lab results that she had done the deed and that she loved it...so who knows, you might start a trend...

THEY DONT CARE WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR PUBES! Jeeze....dye them green...they are there to make sure your insides are healthy...who cares what you do with your hair?

these folk are medical pro's.... they have spent quad zillions to become a doctor, and are aren't interested in the relevancy of the length (or not) of your pubic hairs, and they have seen it all before.

okay so i am curious, how did it go with the exam? everything check out okay and did the doc or the nurse say anything to ya?

they really dont care what your pubes look like. I go to the gyno every year now with mine completely shaved and they dont say a word about it. sometimes not having them helps the exam go along a little bit easier...

Doctors don't care...

My mother has worked at a hospital forever. Over time I got to talk tot a lot of the doctors. Let me tell you. They don't care all that much. Compared to other things that they've seen, i don't think it will even compare.

Besides, lots of times THEY have to shave their patients. They're used to seeing such things.

Think of it this way...in this day and age who doesn't? I do and I'm a guy...I just hate hair it gets in the way to often. Don't worry Docs don't care and like it is posted before some like it so they can get everything done quickly.

Quite frankly, as you can tell from all the above posts... we really don't think you have a thing to worry about.

Hi. The check-up is tomorrow. I can post after about how it goes.. I expect it will all go fine, and I'm not really concerned with what they think of my shaving.
