Computer speed

I'm bored, so I'm being nosy. What's the speed of your computer? You know, megahertz. I'll go first. I'm still running a basic Pentium with a speed of 166. Yeah, I know, it's slow, but we moved last year, and money's been tight.

I have a 400mhz Pentium II at home and a 433 at work.

I just got a new system 2 weeks ago, and are now running a AMD K6-II 500 mhz processor

i hooked up with a 400 Mhz iMac DV SE on february (128 megs of RAM, yada yada yada). if my guitar wasn't already my baby, it would be my baby. it's basically straight out of the box, with a couple of nifty things like a copy of Virtual PC running Win98.

How about an "I have no clue but it is the laptop I got at work to take home with me" pc? Compaq Armada 1500C with Celeron chip if that means anything to anyone. All I care is that it works when I turn it on.

I'm a virgin again! how lovely! My puter is p3 450. the system bus was patterned after the oregon trail, slows it waaay up ya know. They're getting cable here in a month or two, dsl in maybe a year. Anyone have an opinion on either one? Is cable worth it or should I hang out for dsl?

Thanks, now I don't feel quite so bad about this old thing! Hubby and I are looking at one of those new 1 GHz computers. We want it to last for quite a while! As it is, all the games we want have min. requirements that are way above what ours has. Oh well, you make do with what you have.
