OK, this even has me stumped.

I'm working on getting my digital camera to work again. I downloaded and installed the correct drivers (again). I go to open my MGI Photosuite program to download the pictures I took.

Well when I go to Start>Programs>MGI PhotoSuite III SE... It opens the "Internet Options" (you know..in IE.. Tools>Internet Options)

So.. I tried to uninstall MGI Photosuite using the Uninstall feature and it says MGI can't be found. I went to Add/Remove programs and its not listed.

soo.. umm how can I get rid of the MGI Photosuite (link) in the Programs list? Should I just try to reinstall it and see if it corrects itself?

Have you tried just re installing the program?

That should take care of the problem.

If you have Norton, there is a program in norton that will remove it. I'm an old DOS head an it's just easier for me to go into DOS to remove unwanted programs.

When you use uninstall it leaves the root program in windows.

If you are reinstalling and can't find it in programs, it shouldn't hurt anything.

If your not convinced contact Wierd Harold!

Good luck,

Freakster, if you mean that it's listed under start-->programs-->program files...

click on your taskbar (not on a task)
click "properties"
click the tab for "start menu programs"
add, remove, advanced.

I'm on 98se, so yours might look a li'l different.

Nevermind.

*slaps self*

I figured it out. Thank you anyway. :)

*edited to add* I guess I should read the whole thread before posting.

Nora, I did exactly what you said.

I admit it, after I posted and read #1's response I was like *forehead slapping* D'OH! Yeah, you can also right click within the program files list and delete.

Glad it worked for you, Freakster!

(can y'all believe I work tech support? LOL!!)

Blame it on the chick today who had me running in freakin' circles trying to find out why one of our propriety softwares was doing something we thought it shouldn't. 2 hours later we find out it's doing *exactly* what it should. *Grumbles*
