its not that hard if u know what your doing. you have to plug in your router to your modem but before that u have to switch your modem into bridge mode....then set up the router with the username and password at your house and just connect both computers and u should have internet. hope this works.
Oh ok, I did have a look for a 'bridge mode' but couldn't find anything.. any idea where I could find it? And is there any chance of a conflict between a router and modem on the same connection?
I managed to get the internet working on my second computer but when I tried to plug both in, they failed. The connection can work on both machines, but when I try to share the connection it went wrong. How would I go about splitting/sharing the connection between two machines?
go into your modems settings and look for bridged mode there has to be one if not you cant share the connection. look for an option to choose PPoE, PPoA, or Bridged.
