Well, if the discussion is about Ukraine then Warning China not to provide lethal assistance to Russia by drawing a red line is relevant.Non sequitur is fun
Perhaps provide context sometime....a quote.Well, if the discussion is about Ukraine then Warning China not to provide lethal assistance to Russia by drawing a red line is relevant.

A source.
All that I got it from your comment was more BDS
China and India and Turkey need to be called out more.
absolutely!!Looks like sleepy Joe found uncle Barack's box of crayons. Back to drawing red lines, this time against China. This should be interesting!
Thank for providing context
“The president has said we see China as the adversary it is. We are prepared to compete with the Chinese, and we are [prepared], when necessary, to confront the Chinese. And that’s what we’re doing. And that’s what we will continue to do to ensure that our national interests are always at the forefront,” she said.
Not saying it wasn't the right thing to do, but if you dare China to not cross the line ya better be willing and able to back it up. If not, well, we'll look weak in the eyes of the world. This red line is another incremental mission creep. One country will have to back down. Dangerous rhetoric.Thank for providing context
This is a great statement
It would be economic sanctions in response. I think they should apply more already. Blinken met with his counterpart where I'm sure the response was spelled out more specifically. Not saying it wasn't the right thing to do, but if you dare China to not cross the line ya better be willing and able to back it up. After the Alaskan summit I don’t believe China gives a shit what Blinken threatened. It would be economic sanctions in response. I think they should apply more already. Blinken met with his counterpart where I'm sure the response was spelled out more specifically.
Your opinion is noted. China is struggling financially already. More sanctions are not in their interests. There's no reason to threaten military action. After the Alaskan summit I don’t believe China gives a shit what Blinken threatened.
My sentiments exactly. Either go all in or get the fuck out. This proxy war of attrition is going to destroy Ukraine and favor Russia. Give Ukraine the weapons that can really hurt Russian military, take the fucking gloves off and bring this conflict to a conclusion. The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that preliminary preparations are underway for Xi to visit Moscow this spring. That’s a pretty big deal. China’s foreign minister is in Russia now for talks which presumably include discussions about a Xi - Putin summit.
I’ve been supportive of US policy thus far but have been frustrated by the dithering among the west about what types of weapons and ammunition to provide, and the slow pace of decision making and delivery.
Public support in the US is diminishing. US defense stockpiles are shrinking. The threat from China to Taiwan is lurking. China is providing economic and political support to Putin and potentially might start providing weaponry. It’s clear they are taking steps to play a more active role. Iran is providing drones.
If the west intends to win this (ie. expel Russia from all Ukraine territory), it needs to win now. A protracted proxy war is unsustainable.
It seems like our politicians aren't really in charge and that means we aren't in charge. Nobody in the administration has gone to Congress or the American people with an explanation of the endgame if the Russians decide to continue the war. They refuse to answer questions about the state of our own capability against the Chinese as we draw down our inventories in support of the Ukrainians. We simply cannot deplete our own weapons inventories for the Ukrainian war effort and maintain a credible deterrence to the Chinese who any day now are waiting for the right moment to launch an invasion of Taiwan. What most armchairs warrior will not admit or just don't understand is that a conflict between Russia and Poland is a completely different type of conflict. Russia cannot win a conventional style conflict with an adversary that will control the skies. Russia has not had to deal with AH-64s, 16s, 15s and 35s. Throw in A-10s and any Russian armor column would be destroyed as fast as they could send them. The only combat multiplier missing from the equation to literally kick Russia out of Ukraine are air assets.
So I ask the same question, what is the strategy, unlimited warfare. The question that deserves an answer from our politicians is how far do we advance past our ability to resupply advanced weaponry. Even with our magazines busting at the seams a conflict with China would probably exhaust our stockpiles in short order. IMHO
The bottom line question is, is Joe Biden going to let China have Taiwan? The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that preliminary preparations are underway for Xi to visit Moscow this spring. So answer Kirk's fucking question or shut up.Lol...he's calling it a border dispute.
His Twitter feed (and Dinesh and MTG and....the rest of the dipshits) don't believe this is about Russia attacking Ukraine nor do they believe Ukraine is defending itself against an aggressor.
Not only do you not rule out a conflict with China, you have basically suggested it's inevitable. Odd how you've backed off that language now.
Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014. The Biden administration called it weeks before it happened and implored Russia to reconsider.
It's a dishonest question based on literal bullshit. There's no reason to acknowledge it much less answer it. Kirk can continue spreading Russian bullshit. So answer Kirk's fucking question or shut up.
The only comparison we have is the Bosnian conflict. Make it an air war.It seems like our politicians aren't really in charge and that means we aren't in charge. What are the true facts about the war in Ukraine? What are the true casualty numbers on both sides? Col. Douglas Macgregor says all that is being reported about the Russians should be applied to the Ukrainians. He claims through his contacts in the field the Ukrainians are being annihilated on the battlefield and the Russians as we speak are standing up a force of some 750,000 men in the Southwest of Ukraine with axes of attack to the North and West. He points out that Ukraine cannot defeat Russia in a war of attrition, the math just isn't there. The Russians have a much bigger population to draw from. They have an industrial base that dwarfs that of Ukraine. Their ammunition production rate dwarfs our own, let alone the Ukrainians. Macgregor is the real deal. He's been described by peers as the best warfighter in the US Army. He is not a political general opining from an armchair in the Pentagon. I don't know the truth. I've never been to Ukraine and I don't have any personal contacts there but Macgregor does, so I give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being. What he says has the ring of truth especially when we step back and look at all that Joe Biden has done to fuck up everything he attempts to do politically but now we're supposed to take it on trust that he is all of a sudden a competent Commander in Chief capable of acting with precision judgment on events 5000 miles from DC? Who is really calling the shots in this war? Is it Anthony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, or Susan Rice?
BullshitWithout some completely unanticipated event taking place this administration has painted us into a corner, no diplomatic solution possible now. Between Biden's "whatever it takes" to Harris playing the "crimes against humanity" card to Zelensky's "to the gates of Moscow" utterance the die is pretty much cast.
