Comments That Make Your Day

Since I'm not publishing as often as when I first started here, I have less comments to share lately.

But getting some really nice feedback on my newest story, just published today, including this one:

"so loving, so erotic. Maybe one of your best stories."

Especially encouraging since I feel my writing hasn't been as inspired lately.

A lovely reader (_robin) has been churning through my stories and leaving comments.

'Lovely story, so romantic' and appreciating local references on Homesick Halloween, then also appreciating my more crude works like ISAYSA: 'Very, very hot. Dialogue is brilliant & funny. I almost died, couldn’t really breathe, laughing on that exchange where Rich says he’s going down to the bar, and Em says his trousers look the worse for wear, he’s been fucking in them.'

Most recently, 'OMG! A Jane Austen quote! Squee!' I'm not sure it's exactly attributable to Austen, but appreciate the sentiment: "It was an undeniable fact that Emily loved being fucked in the ass. It was also a confirmed fact that Bradley loved doing it."

Nice comment on Following Laura's Footsteps:

I liked mamma more than the story. It was a little too convenient, but Laura's mother... her I get.
I got a lot of comments on Mamma and her devastating right hook. I set out to write another story featuring her but it morphed into something else. Too bad. Maybe I'll try again in the future.

Nice Comment on Wheelchair Girl: I truncated this because it goes on to discuss stats re DNA errors in sibling relationships.

Great story. 5 stars

My story, Accidental Nudes, is a simple story with a simple premise.

It's only two pages long, and it was a pretty easy write.

So getting a comment like this one is both surprising and flattering, especially considering the vast amount of stories here written by some incredibly talented writers.

I think that this may be the most erotic story that I have ever read."

Thank you.

I posted a story called asleep - it was a flitting idea, which I just had to pen, and post. I was surprised at the response it got both good and bad. Since I posted it in LW you can imagine some of the comments I got. But some of the nice ones were

ok, absolutely great writing. Also absolutely gut wrenching sadness of a loss. 5 stars because you style deserves it, but try to put a smile on our faces on the next one. My old heart cant take too many of these.

Nice... I have something in my eye!

No, it’s just smoke from the forest fires in my eyes….
Very well done.

Thank you. A sincere tear jerker in a quagmire of crap most days. That as a beautiful story.

and possibly my favourite comment
Oh that made me cry so hard. It was so lovely.

See, sipping the cool-aid ain't so bad! 😁

A nice comment on The Gunfighter: :)

A truly inspired story! Darntootin if it wudn't a fun read! Love the imagination, expression and feeling written into this tale. You have a real talent and I really appreciated your creativity and delivery of your stories! I haven't seen a story from you recently, but I hope you haven't given up!

"Stupidity runneth amok."

I was entranced by the juxtaposition of the word amok, adopted from the Malayalam thanks to Captain Cook's travels in 1770, with a verb form that's from Early Modern English so was archaic a century earlier. Not to mention the characters actually being an intelligent pair and explicitly thinking and considering their activities, so there's not any actual stupidity involved.

Then I realised I was over-analysing someone not liking the story. Fair enough, though I did try to put people off reading it who wouldn't. (My Love is Like a Red, Red Arse)

I love it when the person leaving a comment is someone that is a follower and has commented before, it always makes it better, ha. This is one of my favorites.

'Beautiful and loving story, you brought tears of joy to my eyes .. and made me so wonderfully hot and wet.'

I couldn't ask for anything more.

I don't usually bother with LW comments like this because I seldom get them. Nowadays the delete button serves its function. But this one went so far, I had to post it here:

Your stories definitely show women in all their self-entitled narcissistic glory. My only issue is how weak your male characters are they lack any truly masculine virtues and tend to question their own actions anytime they are remotely testosterone driven. I think you have probably spent much of your life being browbeaten by an overbearing mother and several self-entitled narcissistic sisters. If that is the case I hope you understand that the conflicts in your head are not your fault it is the garbage they programmed into you, I hope you can find a way to shed the toxic feministic slime they left on you and can only imagine how incredible your writing could be once free of its influence.

It reminds me of the kind of comments somebody else here likes to throw around without a vestige of a fact behind them.

Wow, looks like someone has issues.

I did some reading on Incels and the scariest part was where they believe the Gov should assign them girlfriends for their personal pleasure because they can't get them on their own. That thinking blew me away.

Yeah, like that guy in Toronto a few years back who identified as an Incel. He rented a truck and just mowed people down on the sidewalk to show how angry he was. They think the same thing might have motivated the guy who murdered those four college students in Idaho who apparently had a time connecting with women.
Let's just hope your critic is venting his anger on here and nowhere else.

... I just... wow.

Each time, it is astounding how oblivious narcissists can be. It's rather entertaining to witness the elderly gentlemen on the balcony of the "Muppet Show" condescendingly observing their audience, despite being just as noxious and absurd themselves. The only distinguishing factor between them and those they hold in contempt is their writer title.
However, considering that their bland tales are often overshadowed by the insightful comments of their readers, even this differentiation is nonexistent.
I suspect the gutless anon author of the comment just showed up. With stories like Incel and Psychopath...It doesn't take much to guess the path his thoughts take.

From Incel: "He deserves so much better than her. But is there truly anything better? My mother abandoned me. His wife is cheating on him. Is there any other type of bitch in this world?"

From Psychopath, he kills his cheating wife: "Instead, I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed a large carving knife."

Right between the eyes?
I wouldn't know. Perhaps you can share your expertise so we can all understand overbearing mothers!

This thread is intended for positive comments on stories. While some authors push that idea, it's understandable that their enjoyment may be different from mine. I do find the majority of their comments posted funny!

You want to start an argument, take it elsewhere.

Yet you posted a negative one (which brilliantly placed a mirror in front of you).
And how do you know it placed a mirror in front of me if you haven't read anything I've written? How would you know that if you haven't met me?

I call BS on your claim you didn't write the original comment. Your incel thinking & comments out you like a searchlight at midnight! The story Incel obviously stems from your upbringing by an overbearing mother who probably slapped your tiny pee-pee a few too many times. Part two cries out for the redemption you so desperately seek. Psychopath shows your overwhelming desire to strike back by murdering women to avenge your upbringing. You're a sad, angry person.

You've been here a little over a month and already attacking people. That's not a great start!
