Comments That Make Your Day

I've received several very kind comments on my stories from regular contributors to Literotica, which make me feel gratified, as it gives me hope that one day I'll be writing at their level.

The comment that made my day arrived this morning, for one of my 750 Word entries, Mercy or Toes?

Anonymous (of course): Pathetic

What made it particularly amusing was that the story was an account of one of my early experiences. I'm trying to decide if they were commenting on the quality of my writing or the quality of my experience. In either event, I think I've finally arrived as a Literotica author: someone has finally taken the time to bash one of my stories. Could it be a sign that I'm ready for Loving Wives?

About a year and a half ago, I posted a story with the female main character on the autistic spectrum, and the mail main character with ADHD. I really worked at developing them as people, treating them with respect, and not fetishizing them. Today the story got this anonymous comment:

"I am a man on the autistic spectrum, married to a woman with ADHD who relies on medication and meditation to help tame her restless mind. Well done!"

I can't imagine a better review, with it coming from a reader 'on the inside' of the characters' conditions (interestingly, with their real-life genders the opposite of the characters').

If you really want to track down the story, go ahead, but I chose not to post a link this time. The comment is enough to justify my existence as a writer here. Today, anyway.

I always get a little nervous whenever I see an Anonymous comment come in on my notifications.

Pleasantly pleased by this one on my April Fools entry, "April Fools Daddy."

"by Anonymous user on 49 minutes ago
Bruh, actually got completely trolled throughout this story."

It's nice to know my intentions worked lol.

For my latest chapter of Caleb

I'm running out of adjectives to describe how great your work is. This time I will simply say "Thank you good Sir, thank you. "

I got a great comment just the other day here from, sadly, anonymous. But loved the comment:
Except for the erotic parts, this would easily have been published in _Analog_ under John Ghod Campbell, or _Worlds of IF_, under Fred Pohl.
Ten stars, at least

A few days earlier I got this in a private message:
And that was it. Nothing else, didn't recognize the name, hadn't seen them in any forum or comment anywhere or anything. Just that at random.

Posted a few screenshots just a few scrolls up of my newest Jenna fan.

Got this email from her today:

"I really enjoyed the Jenna series.

Your imagination and the way you introduced new characters was terrific.

Phillip, especially was wonderful.
You handled his situation with heart, yet it was very erotic.

Thank you & continue taking us on your sexual journeys, they are special!

cmj711"

Definitely made my day today.

I've had more Lit readers reach out to me, in sympathy to my health issues, than my own family.
It's an amazingly bittersweet thing, that I'm incredibly grateful for.

Here's just one anonymous sweetness:

Having just read your latest update, I’m so sorry to hear your news, of course your family and friends deserve every last second with you they can. I’m just here to say thank you for the journeys you have allowed us to share with you.

Sometimes comments make your day for an entirely different reason.

From a recent feedback email:

Comments:

"April fools daddy was a beautiful story of love. Reminds me of my mother and myself except we teased for three years before making love."

1: it's not a Love Story.
2: it doesn't feature a mother or son. Or any actual incest.
3: WHY do people feel the need to tell me their bullshit stories? I get these kinds of creepy ass comments all the time 😆.

I'm glad he liked it, though. I guess? 🤔

From "Reassessing My Life:"

A nice "loving Wives" story. Plus, thank you for being one of the few that actually understands how Trusts, plus how Trust assets are owned and operate. Also other details, such as it's the clit hood that gets pierced, not the clit itself. Thanks again. Cheers.
It's nice when the research pays off.

Daaamn, you are an amazing writer. You somehow find new niches and emotion in one of the most challenging genres on this site, and with actually humanity even when you’re being harsh. Thanks.

I will say, I was surprised at how many people were turned off by the FMC having piercings and tattoos.

A couple of nice comments this morning. :)

Homeless
Enjoyed the story. Nice to see someone grow and learn from their mistakes and become a better person. Loved that part of the story. It happens in real life. Maybe not as much as we want it to... And when it happens those that were hurt may never know... This was a nice ending.

The Bet (10 Dates)
Will written and enjoyable. Agree that it t probably fits better in romance but there is overlap and this is a great example of it.... I'd say she cheated with the kissing and heavy petting frankly so I'd say it fits. Heck it went to far as early as the beach to be honest. But still great story.

One more from "Reassessing My Life," from my favorite Anonymous commenter (I think; pretty sure it's the same guy that writes the humorous "came to fap, fuck you this is depressing, 5 stars" comments):

What lunacy is this?! A NTH story sans angst, despair, or the general soul crushing futility of life? You've put a fine new polish on a well worn classic. Excellently written, as always. Nothing puts lead in my pencil quite like a hot goth chick! 5

Two more wonderful comments on Cheatify The Bastard by a fav author of mine: (You need to read Cheatify The Bitch first to understand the story)
Terrific follow-up. Great story, well written as always.

Should have mentioned, I gave it 5 Stars and a favorite, too! I love the way your twisted mind thinks!

Another nice comment on Cheatify The Bastard: (You need to read Cheatify The Bitch first to understand the story)

Obviously, people are reading AH cause it's the only place that the story has been mentioned.

That was fun 5 stars

User feedback on "In Health," from email:

Wow! Powerful!
Of all the Lit stories of betrayal, lies, and avarice, this left me so enraged that I almost screamed out loud.
This is uniques in that, of all the stories I have read over these many years, his revenge was unprecedented.
I doubt there is a reader who will not feel the same.
Please keep them coming!

It's, ah, it's a pretty dark story.
