Comments That Make Your Day

Comments - are they worth the effort to read? Here's what I got for Flying Monkey, the last story I'll ever post in LW. This is an example of the comments

Wow! Great story that made me choke up a little while my hair was standing up a little. My favorite Halloween story this year.

Wow, this is awful. I can’t believe the Number people think that this crap is good.

I'm not sure who Number people are, but I want to write for them more often

Forget the bad comments! You've got 33K reads and 40+ comments on a story posted 4 days ago. That's a lot of eyeballs, and if you allow for the dodgy mph to knots conversion, the score isn't that bad. Please don't make it your last LW.... :)

I know! That's the most eyeballs in 4 days I've ever received, but I'm not a LW writer. I'm more of a Happily Ever After kinda guy. My only other LW story is The Preacher and the Chocolate Lady which I wrote to troll the LW trolls.

Getting a comment from another well known author is always a huge plus. I was really excited to see this one.

Millie is an awesome writer and a lot of fun to chat with. If you got her all heated up, you're an incredible writer... but you may want to keep your doors and windows locked, ;)

(Just kidding @MillieDynamite)

So I, in a fit of grumpiness not related to Literotica, mentioned in my usual afterword on my latest chapter that we all have jobs; My job is to write the stories, my characters have the jobs they are doing, and the readers’ job arounf here is to comment...
I do have to comment, but the comment needs not be pertinent!
Great so far, keep going
I volunteer for many things, but I absolutely freaking HATE being told what to do. So enjoy your comment...
<laugh>
The rest of the comments reveal that I’m doing a better job with the main writing trick in this series than I feared, but not a perfect one. I’m trying to keep people interested through a slow burn reveal of what the hell the plot is in the first place, and am three chapters and about 31K words in without revealing that answer, even in part… all on a stroke story site.
Turns out, vast amounts of “random” sex will help with that challenge...

No, I don't think you were. Just kidding, maybe not, well sure just kidding. I misspelled held damn stupid me. Or perhaps it was both heald me and held my interest done in a damn clever way. Yes, let's go with that!
