Comments That Make Your Day

Yes. I’ve been seeing them trickle in every few hours even on old (well, old for me) stories for the last couple of days.
Is that very recent?

One to two weeks ago when I was replying to all the comments on my last batch of stories I noticed my own reply comments in my story would take a day on average to show up.

Yes seems to have started yesterday.

Today's comment was a message on another board:

Hey, I have a request for you. Would you be able to write a story based on my idea? Contains CMNF, female smoking cigarettes, tuxedo fetish, permanent female nudity. In my opinion it's very original idea.

Um... OK. But definitely NOT my thing.

This is actually the second time in recent months that I've gotten a very specific story request from a random person I'd never heard of before asking for a tuxedo related CMNF story. Both different usernames, so I presume different people.

ps: I actually find people in suits and tuxedos to be an extreme turn off. But it's an uncannily common theme in CMNF for the male to be dressed up. It just makes me think of dudes into human trafficking...

This one on “Shouldering the Burden” brought a literal tear to my eye:

Sixty-two years ago I fell in love with and married a smart, pretty young woman. I became a fairly successful writer; she edited everything I wrote and invariably made it better. Ten years ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I was her caregiver for eight years, finally wasn't able to give her the care she needed and she entered a memory-care home. Both her short-term and long-term memories are gone. I'll visit her tomorrow, she'll recognize me as someone she should know but doesn't remember that I'm her husband or what my name is. She has forgotten her many infidelities of decades ago that I have forgiven; it breaks my heart every time I see her with the outlook and mindset of a four-year-old, wheelchair-bound and always in a diaper. My only job now is to outlive her. Her lucid days are a thing of the past, but your story captures only too well the pain of watching someone you know (and once loved) slowly fade away. Thank you for being such a gifted writer.

Sometimes when you feel like it’s a slog someone will pop-up out of nowhere and make your day wonderful again. This appeared today on HOT AND FUZZY.

This story is such fun! Love the alliterative cast of characters characters; Mel and Michael, Martin and Michelle Middlesmith, the dynamic duo of Sylvia and Shaun Sadler with Sara and Stephanie in close support, Frank Forrester of the Forston Force (sorry Service mea culpa), Byron Butcher and the homophonic Mr. Richard Wright.

A mysterious village dripping eros seems suspiciously like a place that could bear the name Wickerman Wold: with an insect and rat infested cottage and a vaguely foreboding castle like hotel forming focal points for future action. Will Michael Angelo turn out to be an archangel with a flaming sword, or a weak vessel to be himself consumed by flame? What of Jenny who seems to out of place amongst the alliterations? Does that singularity portend anything?

I can't wait until the next chapter to see where you take this story. Following the workings of such a creatively playful mind has been a delight! Thank you! 5 stars

It makes my day to get something so lovely said by one of our own:

A very well balanced mix of playful, sexy, funny and heartfelt.

Relationships can feel almost alien sometimes. How many of our choices are our own, and how many are influenced by our environment, our circumstances, and the partners we become attached to?

This story is a LOT deeper than "earth woman fucks a space octopus." It's a quirky, often funny, often serious exploration of relationships and what makes them work or fail.

Looking forward to part 3.

Thanks for getting it @Djmac1031 ❤️❤️❤️

Geesh, a backhanded compliment on Homeless:

Yuk so smarmy, if it could only happen in real life, the world would be a much better place. Despite having more holes than a sieve I have given it 5*. You only have to look at the comments, not one dissenter, almost unheard of with a literature story. Why, because it gave everyone a warm feeling, it was a wonderful fairy story and they all lived, happily ever after. We all enjoy a story like this especially at Christmas.

I'm really not sure why she gave it a 5* after that!

I started out today bemoaning the lack of popularity of my latest story. But fellow authors have been lovely.

So good. I think I just want to thank you for writing it. A touching, romantic, and somehow very real-feeling exploration of independence and co-dependence, honesty and manipulation, the difficulty of communication, lust and love, all through a relationship with a nearly immortal shape shifting alien cephalopod. I especially liked Em's self awareness [when she] saw the connection between what she'd done and what David did.

Thanks @djrip ❤️.

PS I took a couple of spoiler-related bits out, hope that’s OK

A nice compliment on Wheelchair Girl: :)

I was a little worried about the lack of rating, usually stories like that have the rating removed because they were terrible. This was anything but. A just plain beautiful story with two sweet characters that I'm glad got a happy ending, one after a several road bumps and tragedies towards that ending. Pizza blowjob was novel, hopefully the pizza cooled a bit, melty cheese on your johnson doesn't sound fun. Because there is no rating that means I can give this 6 stars in the comments and faved it

A comment I just got on my last story made me smile, but not because it was a great comment. Here's what "anonymous" wrote.

"She purposefully went out of her way to cheat on her husband. Sorry instant 1 star for me."

This was a story about a Native American woman and a former US Cavalry officer in the late 1800's. The woman's husband couldn't give her a child and she wanted to give him a son. She enticed another Native American man to sleep with her in hopes of making that happen. The liaison was discovered and as a result she was driven out of her village.

I smiled because this is a classic case of applying 21st century morals to another time and another culture. I found it very interesting that someone who visits a story site where the main objective of most stories is sex would find this to be so offensive.

I don't often get someone reading through at least 1/2 my stories and commenting. But here it is:

Wonderful story! I don't know why I missed this back in Feb 2022. I would have given it a 5. I'll also check out your previously posted stories.

My latest, "Breeding Bull Ch. 6" just got published an hour and a half ago, and one of my dedicated readers already left a nice comment:

Hot little one pager! Just right before lights out! Enjoyed it. Happy Easter! Cheers SAGE

And I had been thinking that maybe it was time to end this series. But it looks like there's still a few out there that seem to want to read it. So, onto Chapter 7...

"Limnophile always brings fresh approach with new ideas to everything I have read from him here. This story chapter takes some ideas to absurdity but is still a good quick and FUN read. Keep up the great work Limnophile as I truly appreciate your unique take on the topics thus far explored!"

This one pointed me toward roads less travelled. I seriously doubt I can ever surpass all the thousands who already wrote about falling in love with their sister or losing their virginity to their first sweetheart.

As far as I've seen, I'm the best in the world at writing about boy + girl twins who grow to adulthood in an artificial womb after the incubation chamber's timer malfunctions, having sex with the twin they've been hugging for 20 years, and the sister getting pregnant before they are even 'born.'

Unless somebody copied my idea, I'm also the best at writing erotic horror where young thieves are mind controlled into paying their very elderly victims for sex.

If you can't be the best at a common trope, create something wildly innovative and be the best at that instead.

Another nice comment this morning on April Fool - No Longer: :)

Ouch! That’s cold! But not nearly as cold as her cheating on him with his best friend.
Short, sweet, and well done.

It wasn’t a comment but just something that happened today. I wrote an (agreed with the author) unofficial sequel to a story. Today a fan of the original story favourited part 2 of my follow-on story.

As the original story was only the second one they ever favourited I take that as a huge compliment.

As comments are so rare, lately what has been giving me the warm and fuzzy I crave, is this. Especially when I see a reader favorite multiple stories. This tells me that people like the work enough to check out my other stuff. That's a really good feeling.
