Comments/Suggestions on the New Story Review Thread

Thanks for the review Danielle, I still  every time I get one of your glowing reviews :D

You'll really get to hate the taxman in the next one. He turns my stomach, and I'm writing him.

Thanks for the lovely review sirhugs :) I have to admit I did have a dilemma over whether to put it in Mature since it could have gone in either really...

I used to do some baseball umpiring. I have poor depth perception, so you might appreciate, I was fairly bad at it. But then, as now, I just call them as I see them.

I did love the characters and thought the quick recaps of the fate of Beth and Jason was less than they deserved, if you want to revisit it, in addition to the wonderful sequel potential. But I meant every nice thing I said.

Still recovering from surgery, so I'm going to pass on reviews this morning. :kiss: {{{hugs}}}

I'll pick up a few more after the kiddsters light or leave.

Welcome back, Red. *HUGS*

And sorry all. I lost track of the time and forgot that yesterday was Friday.

Seriously. Drifting away from the world a little too much is a problem for me.

Sorry again.

Hugs, Red. Hope that you feel better soon.

Thanks Sir Hugs for the review of Beastly Intentions. After the last comment it got, sigh, I was feeling a little blue. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Chapters two and three are with my editor who is taking his sweet old time in getting them back to me.

Hugs and kisses..I think we have some of the same wind here in Michigan...feels like my house wants to fly away.

we can never please everyone, it seems.

If your house flies away this time of year, you better have your ruby slippers- Its likely to land on a witch.

Writing

I've had stories I have written I thought were some of my best efforts fall flat. And a few I thought were merely okay do very well.

I just finished a new one the other day, I haven't written much, as I am in a miserable mood and can't write when I feel this blahhh. Part of it is weather-related, it is so gray and drab here in Ontario today.

I don't use editors, one reason is just what you mentioned above. I don't want to wait for them to finish editing something, it should only take an hour or two. I know enough about spelling, punctuation and story structure, heck, I've edited for a few people out here myself.

Just touching base folks, hope all are well.

Ask my husband, he'll tell you I'm the witch...

I was poking around, reading. And found this superlative work.

Possession by cloudy

A very creepy story with rich atmosphere and characters. Cloudy does an excellent job with these.

She built the tension up slowly and subtly, always holding me on the edge of knowing.

I was very impressed with the way she created the atmosphere of the piece. She used place descriptions and patois very well.

Highly recommended.

Thanks, darlin'.

Not a problem, beautiful.

I remember reading it before, but I forgot how good it was. My bad. ;)

Cloudy is always superb ( even when her stories are beyond my ability to relate to - I know that's my limitation, not her talent)

Gifting Night Ch. 02 by deathlynx is the conclusion to "Gifting Night" and just as good as the first!
Thank you very much for the review! Although I must correct you slightly...This most certainly is not the conclusion...there should be another handful of chapters coming...At current it seems there are five more chapters to go but that's all my Muse has made me privy to at the moment ;)

Thank you again for the mention! :cathappy:

I might be away Satuerday, so, subject to how Red is feeling, might need a pinch hitter.
