'Commander in Chief': A Woman's White House

Day to Day, September 27, 2005 • Oscar winner Geena Davis stars in the new ABC program Commander in Chief as the first female president of the United States. Television critic Andrew Wallenstein says the series, which premieres Tuesday night, offers an interesting mix of The West Wing and family drama.

Should you read through bloggers in the link: http://www.dogdare.com/incubator/luriewatch.html you will discover that I am not the first to link Hollywood screen writers, actors and actresses and network television into a humorous complicity to pave the way for Hilarious Hilary in 2008.

Commander in Chief, is not nearly as well written or conceived as ‘West Wing’ and the supporting cast, other than Donald Sutherlin (way past his prime) and should be perhaps portrayed as a ‘comedy’ rather than a drama.

It seems to run in the family as Keifer Sutherlin also stars in the high powered political drama ‘24’, but is much more entertaining and somewhat politically incorrect around the edges.

It is amusing to watch the coalition of the willing Liberals as they rush to mouth: “…and God Bless America, too…” While on the other hand muse if a woman President might have to be closely observed for at least a week during each month, as to whether or not she will ‘push the button’, in a fit of PMS’ial frustration…(a line in the opening show, not mine, I would never write so crudely)

West Wing and ‘24’ are good entertainment, well written television drama’s, even if loaded with political aggrandizement and agenda of the liberal sort, along with token blacks and females and other such ‘alternative’, lifestyles and social agenda’s.

Commander in Chief, if it follows along the story line of the first episode, is much less than that and even for slow witted Liberals is transparently obvious in intent.

May it enjoy a slow death.

One Chief Justice confirmed and seated, two more Associate Justices in the wings; Long Live the Robert’s Court!

Ah, Sweetsubsarah, I thought about nothing else (almost) during the bumpy, six hour, seat belts on... flight from Atlanta to Portland, but a lil green eyed Stew, fell into my lap with a purseful of those bitty bottles of gin and we lived happily ever after....

(thanks)

You know, ami.

Worse things could happen to Republicans than Hillary running.

Yeah, Hillary winning ;)

Hillary could win. I believe she would beat such as Bill Frist or Dick Cheney. I think she would lose to John McCain. She has a good chance to win enough primaries to be the Dem. candidate.

I think a lot of old white guys would be screaming 'Elizabeth! I'm coming!' if that were to happen.

I don't think she can win, reguardles of her opponent. But, I am jade enough to know that's as much wishful thinking as critical analysis.

I don't like her... she's smarmy.

I won't vote her... and I"m a moderate getting seriously pissed off at the Republican parties ties with the fundamental christians.

Hillary would have to run another 'Vote Against Them' candidate.

Sincerely,
ElSol

Guess no one saw the show....ah, well....

I'll forgive my entertainment for being politically involved but not for being crap.

And the show looked like crap.
