Coming out to spouse

If you have come out to your spouse, tell us how you did it and how it went. Here is a bit of my story.

I came out before my first gay encounter. I did it that way because if she strongly reacted in a negative way l still might be able to resist having gay sex. That was probably a forlorn hope. I had no idea how she would react.

After our initial conversation, many other conversations followed. Most of them were her gaining more information. After about a month, over dinner, she told me I could go ahead and meet with a man for sex. There were some provisos. All them were acceptable to me. Infact I had already included some of them in what I would or would not do

Two of them did surprise me. One was I would meet only with married men. The other surprise was that I would let her know what happened at every meeting.

Thanks for this, and well done for doing the honorable thing. I imagine it took courage and some serious thinking on your part.

I appreciate this as a writer, since some of what you speak of emerged in my Bombshell story. The hero didn't 'come out' but was discovered in flagrante and had to do some serious marriage repair work. But the wife had some of the same reactions: needed to know about things, was only good with one partner, felt she had to have a say, etc. which echoes some of your scene.

I'll be interested to hear what others contribute.

I've told this on other threads so excuse me for being repetitive.

Before we married I met my wife in high school. We what most high schoolers would die for sexually. After graduation we went separate ways and married others. Twenty five years later we were both divorced and got back together and picked up sexually where we left off only far more uninhibited.

We were watching porn in bed and two guys and a girl having sex. One of the guys begins sucking the other guy. My wife to be asks me if I would ever do that and I told her yes and that I already had many times. I then told her about my bisexuality.
