Two chemical plants/sites found so far.

How many more you need to see Hanns Blix wasn't doing his job?

Quite frankly yes.

But before him I would have gone with Reagan in the situation Bush has got us all into...

I am not trying to be antagonistic but,

remember when clinton let our ship get blown up in yemen and people killed and he did absolutly NOTHING about it?

at least now someone is trying to prevent that from happening again

So we're fighting this war because previous US Presidents did nothing when your country was harmed...

Well excuse me but I don't consider that a reasonable excuse for Brits and Ossies going to get themselves killed...

What was your fight was your fight...

This fight is ours, even though I don't think it's justified...

All I want to know is why we're doing it...

ppman

Why?.

Because TB thinks he needs this to be a world statesman.

Never happen while he has a hole in his arse.

Why are we doing it?

I don't believe that is a question that can be answered with only one reason.

I think there are many reasons for why we are at war.

- Unlike most I don't think that it's all about oil, that's too simplistic. But I am not naive to think that oil doesn't play a part in things. I know that Tony Blair suggested that Nato mandate that the US and England not be allowed to touch Iraqi oil.. to have it in trust for the Iraqi people. Seems rather reasonable to me.

- The fact that Saddam was given 12 years to stop production and then to give up what he had.. and he dicked around about it. I think it's already been proven with Iraq launching missiles at the troops that he lied. Not to mention the chemical/biological warfare.

So we wait as many have suggested.. what do we wait for? To be attacked? Had he waited and Saddam attacked us, how many of those same people would have been screaming bloody murder about why we waited? How many people were up in arms after 9/11 wondering why the govt. didn't do anything? What if we had? What if we had gone after Osama and his terrorist group before that attack.. how many of those same people would have been angry about it?

- Freeing the Iraqi people. They've been under the regime of this madman and the other nuts that are helping him rule that country. How many of his own people has he murdered? Tortured? Their family members? How many of his people are starving?

As I said.. I don't think it's just one of those reasons, or any other of the reasons out there.. it's a combination.

You gotta stop using that Ewok language, p_p..

I mean, the majority of the intelligent world doesn't use such noises as descriptors.
Once Pax Americana takes place, those words will be treated at the same level of national ebonics.

It's fun poking thy finger at the US's eye, when the sty in Britain's is three times the size.
We're all in this together.

thanks for posting this, it gives me a different perspective as i didnt think of the british or anyone else just us. sorry to all.

now, how about this for thought, if you lived next to a convicted child molester would you let your kids play in his house, or would you watch him all that more closely?

Sadaam is a terrorist, he uses chemicals on his own people, dont want him in my back yard

Of course, some people send their kids to play in somebody else's backyard, and then they spray the chemicals on the children themselves. We called it Agent Orange.

Why I keep posting to these threads proves I should have stupid tatooed accross my forhead........

A simple answer is

we are in this one for the same reason we have been in every war starting with WW 11 and why we will continue to be in them

cleaning up the mess we made by making promises we did not keep

Look at VN ...
In WW11 we ask Hoe to help us beat the Japence and if he would we would make sure there were free and open elections in VN ... well we lied

How do we konw who has what weapons in the middle east ?
Cause we sold or gave them the weapons so they would fight someone else for us

Now can all the whinning on threads like these change what is happening?
what has happened/
Hell no !!!!!!!

What we Americans can do is elected people in office that believe
in the princples of our consitituation. The only party that I know of that does that are the Libertarians
www.lp.org

in the mean time ... lets support our troops and there families
and thank our God that is is not our ass over there

Wants some good luck?

*HUG* So nice to hear from somebody with a memory and a head for history. Why can't we remember that Iraq has some very good reasons to be pissed at us? This whole Pandora's Box o f a Mid East crises is from a century of miserable English and US foreign policy.

Hell, yes!! Clinton was a politician who knew where he was going and took America to eight years of prosperity.

Dubyah Shrub has taken America to war . . . eight days so far and the years yet to be counted . . . not to mention the enormous tax problem he has created by unlimited funds avaible for the NE military-industrail complex . . . :)

[[[[[HUGS RICHARD]]]]

My former brother-in-law suffered from Agent Orange also . . . :)
