After posting my first story, I was thinking it would be fun to see how many people have had an orgasm as a result. I know some people will post it in the comments, but that's pretty rare. Just brainstorming, but if there were two buttons, one blue and one pink in the sidebar people could click if they come. Authors could see x number of women and y number of men had orgasms as a result of your story. Would be extra cool if it reported what page they were on when they clicked it so you could tell where the best parts of your story were. I'd be curious if anyone else would want to see that?

I'd be interested to know, certainly. The implementation would be tricky, though. The buttons would have to float if you wanted them to correlate to a part of the story, you'd have to explain the colors somehow, non-binary people would request a button too, people would probably give fewer ratings because they'd assume the "I came" button meant the same as a five, etc.

If you keep writing, a few people will tell you in the comments, though.

This is a great idea btw. There would be so many more statistics for us to obsess over. The number of orgasms per word, for example. Then maybe a monthly title of pleasuremancer. Damn, so many possibilities.

I know. It was false advertising.
So many disappointed people whose partners drag them off to those stupid things.

Wait, wasn't that what the heart / favorite button is for already? 😁
Yesterday someone hearted one of my stories six times in a row. I thought they were just struggling with their mouse, but apparently they were having the best time ever!

I've been wondering if that's user 'error', or a glitch, or just the only thing the site can currently do when a reader puts a story in more than one of their lists.

I figure virtually every heart, five-vote, and comment is a probable orgasm.

Who knows if that's true?

as @Bamagan says, I think that just means they added your story to several Lists.

Sorry to ruin the thread with a serious answer.

@onehitwanda - surely you'd want a floating teardrop, so that readers could indicate to you the exact moment in your stories that they start crying? (Or we could request a floating box of tissues and it could work for both.)

I hate to break it to you, but I've hit the heart button around 300 times, left 214 comments (more, actually, as I leave some as Anon) and probably a thousand plus five-votes. I'm afraid not one of them represents an orgasm.

Though there have been a few occasions when I've immediately gone to see what my wife was doing straight after finishing a story. ;-)

Sure, but how many orgasms go tragically unfavorited or uncommented?

I bet it all comes out in the wash. If you know what I'm saying.

A little late to the party, but by the thread title alone I'm envisioning one of those clicker-counter thingies velcro'ed to someone's nether regions:

"I didn't hear the click, Sarah."
"And you certainly know why. I'm calling Aaron."
"Shit."

Made me laugh out loud
