Did anyone else know that there are more colours available on this board than are in the pull-down list offered by the mis-spelled "COLOR" option?
This one is especially for postings of a dubious nature. It is rightly called CRAP.

I didn't no. Where might one find the other colores? ;)

Sorry, Perdita, I have no idea. I heard about that one from somewhere else on a bulletin board.

I don't know for sure, but I can guess.

vBulletin is written in part in Visual Basic. The named colors should correspond to what Visual Basic uses, so a Visual Basic reference should give you a complete list of the named colors.

HTML also has a set of named colors that might work -- it's probably very similar to the Visual Basic set.

Actually, You don't need to use named colors and can customize your text from any of the 16.7 million colors availble through the #rrggbb hexidecimal color identification system.

#FF0000 is pure Red.
#00FF00 is pure Green
#0000FF is Pure Blue.

Of course, people who don't have their displays set to actually show 16.7M colors or greater won't notice the subtleties you've spent so much time designing into your text and epileptics might have problems if you get too creative, but you can still have all the fun with colors you need. :p

This is #21CC38.
This is #2100FF.
This is #FFFF3C.
This is #FFCC12.
This is #45CCCC.
This is #CC3399.

Damn, I was under the impression that the rgb coding didn't work with the vBulletin tags.

Boy was I wrong.

Ofcourse, one has to be careful with using colors when posting on a board like this. Too much of it could be just a TAD annoying.

Not to mention you spend more time typing the color tags than youdo typing your post. :p

Here's a chart of colours for you Sv'a. Sorry it's sideways but the limits are 800 X 600 and a 600X 800 is rejected!
