College Students? Majors?

Okay, let's try this again and see if it sticks:

Completed a degree in Computer Science and currently working on another in Art.

I just found out that I will without a doubt be accepted into nursing clinicals for the fall. YAY! :nana: Unless my grades just go to hell.. but considering I started this semester with a 3.93... I don't see that happening.

Congratulations! I'm sure you've worked hard to get so far.

Learning disabilities nurse diploma
Bsc
Management and health promotion diplomas

Various other bits 'n' pieces.
Akk UK qualifications
Studied from 1986 to 2001, miss it like crazy but can't afford to re-start.
If I could afford to study it would be Law.

Maybe one day *sigh*

I'm a early graduating senior. Only took me 3.5 years. I will have my BA in Psychology. And I'll be attending graduate school in the fall for counseling psychology!

Do you have a job?

I almost always do what I'm told

Actually i do....for now anyway...and one that i love. But on two occassions job interviewers told me I was overqualified, and they would not hire me. One was at a newspaper. They gave me a test, and not only did i ace it, i added information they didnt ask for. He read the test, threw it back at me, and told me stop wasting his time.

Second semester of college majoring in art history. So unless I can a) become a curator which you usually need political connections for or b) get married, then I would like to join the starving club after my parents cut me off at age 22.

I feel your pain! I get cut off at 25! any schooling after that I have to pay for! scary isn't it!

hm. I am a third year student, I guess in limbo.

I came into the school looking to go with psychology, I was disgruntled because my last school closed before I got there- I was supposed to go into a Progressive Learning system. But because I was so angry I figured I guess it wasn't ment to be and I just added myself to the system my current school had.
After getting so incredably unhappy, at the end of my second year I finally went into the Progressive Program that they ressurected made up of students from the school that closed that the newer school adopted and took on their ways to let them continue.
The problem with joining the program is that I'm stuck graduating with a B.A in Liberal Arts Studies. My concentration is in Social Psychology, food and music though...
and since the switch it has jumbled my credits around, so I may have a shorter time left or a longer time.
Loans, grants, scholarships and work study - has been my way of doing things.

geez.... my parents helped for four years... and now my mom tells me i can just go into debt like the rest of america... which is crazy because i'm almost halfway to 6 digits in the red. and even though i'll have two fancy degrees froma large pile of bricks with the nerve to call it self a university, i can only expect to make between 28,000 to 36,000 for my first three years... and budget into that that i have a hard time living by a budget and i think we're looking at a big mess

Third year im in art management :)
Don't feel bad. There's always somebody around who's less successful than you - I dropped out after two semesters of college. I've had a few night classes since but I will probably have to start over if I want a degree, because my GPA was so low at the end.

It was in my parents divorce decree that he had to pay for me and my sisters college lives. I go to a private college which costs a little below 30,000 a year and my sisters was around 35000 a year. He got the crappy deal. But we will take care of him when he's old and needs us:)

Because he knew you were smarter and thought you might someday push him outta his chair?

I just got accepted into the Linguistics program at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities for fall 2005, where I'll likely double-major in Linguistics and German.

For now, though, I'm just doing gen. ed. credits at the local tech school. Zzzzz...
*high-fives the linguistics major!* maj! ;)

Judging by your screen name here, I would suggest sending Stuponfucious a PM. He had a Klingon title under his name (where mine says Frequently Ineloquent) for a while. I used to study it a little bit, and back in the early 90s I was acquainted with Marc Okrand for a while, but I've forgotten it all now anyway. I did see him last weekend though - I interpret at sci-fi cons twice a year and he's almost always there :)

Technically, i'm a Comp Sci major, but all my classes would tell you i'm actually in desguise, i'm really a communications major specializing in graphic arts... whoo.
I'm a thirs year student on the 5 year plan at the moment. I never want to graduate. The real world scares me.
