that darn website

How's the web site coming along? If you are making it without a job I would stay that way as long as possible! lol

This is my own personal website that I am using to look for jobs. I've been kind of dwelling on the planning stages for weeks now. I just got the design down and need to work out it's interactivity. Kind of a pain. But all websites are like that.

Dropping by quick to see if there is anyone going to school in New Hampshire? I'm a film student at KSC and i'm wondering if there are any women around me that would like to chat and make friends with other stuff nice, but not my sole reason for excistance (or i wouldn't excist right now =P)

Yeah I am a self taught web designer, never took any classes for it just kinda looked around saw things I liked and learned how to do them, I'm about to start on another one shortly actually.

Yep I think that practice makes perfect and obsevation always helps. I'm just trying to streamline my workflow. It just sucks when I can't find a short workflow (this usually not until I'm half way there).

PS. Any nice beaches up there in South Carolina? Been in the house too long now.

I understand the workflow problem! Yeah there are quite a few nice beaches, you have the barrier islands outside of Charleston and then of course you have the party town of Myrtle Beach. In fact I will be down there next week at the Firemans Convention.

Myrtle Beach. Sounds like loads of fun man. Hope you have fun. Is that a far drive from Savannah GA? (Just guess-timate it from the southern most tip of SC.) Wish I could be there but just sitting tight and continuing to search for jobs.

Man I'm stuck here in Savannah GA at the moment. I'm looking forward to finding a job up in the NYC area. I just finished art school myself. And welcome to this board.

thanks yea .. i spend alot of time in nyc i live in 20 minutes by car .. and my schools right on the path train line .. im finishing up architectural school myself ... and thanks for the welcome

I think it is like only a 2 hour trip or so from Savannah straight up HWY 17.

2 hours? From the map I was guessing like 4-5. My sense of space must be phased out at the moment. All this cutting and pasting and scripting. It's about to pay off (Well, at least something I can proudly call version 1.0 of my website).

Sorry no ideas at all. Not from the area. How about just hitting a couple of museums while you have some time on hand. Then hit a couple of bars after that. Beats me. Seize the day anansi! I'm stuck here in Savannah GA trying to find a job as my ticket out. Have fun now.

Too bad you missed the cultural food festival on the mall. If you are into sports there are many different groups that play pick up soccer (my fav) during the week and weekend. Other than that A/C is your friend and so is the gym

Im working out in Dulles so only get into the city on the weekends, best of luck to you.

and it's even worse when the people working in the office can't help you.

It's always quite annoying when you can't get your grades because you have to access them through a special website of the school's and they don't know how to help you with that.

I understand completely about what you're going through. I've been through similar situations where these school staff are complete nuts. And that special website to log in for your grades: MAJOR PAIN IN ASS! Yep and the help desk people would usualy give you this condescending talk about how much you don't know how to use the system. Grr too. Thinking about it makes me mad.

Cool! Let's see got my degree in computer art. More or less in the interactive design/broadcast design areas. I'm currently looking to haul my butt to either New York or LA to look for jobs.
