Collar's Frivolity

What for? I had to do colour genetics at undergrad level. I blocked it out and managed to forget most of it since. I am fascinated with beautiful colours but prefer it to be in an amateur sort of way. There is a saying ' a good horse is never a bad colour' and I think its the same for all animals ( including people). So, for example, I am not attracted to blue eyes personally, but.....what suits my cats better? its their eyes? :). Similarly, G and I are different countries and different religious backgrounds. So what? We are the right ones for ourselves, and we suit ourselves just fine. G with a different cultural background would not be him. A good horse is never a bad colour. ;)

Because I want to see tortie points.
Google does have a simple "images" function..
And because I like the occasional rabbit hole, and colour genetics would be an enjoyable one for me. :)
What for?

:D. I did't know if it was tortie. Points or brindle horses ;)

Colour genetics is doubly confusing for Those who learn animal colours in English - English because American English language rules. So one had to relearn colours. American naming is often more accurate I think, and things one is accustomed to lumping together as one of much smaller naming group have to be better identified by phenotype before you even get to look at the genetics. It can be quite humbling to realise you have to relearn colour as an undergrad..

Well heck, now I will have to look up the horses as well :p
And I guess it's always good to be reminded that we can't know everything :)
