Agreed. We are a multi-species household. When I married (not my first) about 5 years ago I brought my 2 lovely cats (damn pussies) into a 2 dog household. It took about 90 days for the cats to establish dominance, but going forward from then has been lovely. Following several passings over the last few years we are now a one cat and one dog household with the occasional 3 day visit of a guest dog. At night as wife and I watch TV, dog is on the couch next to me, cat is curled up on the back of the couch behind wife, and guest dog is on the floor under our feet. It is the best time of the day.
Despite what some my think, I love cats (damn pussies)
ps: let's keep this between us two, I don't want my cover blown...

I like many dogs, but I'm allergic.
Cats amuse me, but I don't want to cohabit with something that produces more dustball material than I do. (I do have pretty dustballs when I'm spinning yarn, though!)
I'm a lousy housekeeper as it is, keeping up with cat hair (or even dog hair, in all honesty) is well beyond me. Unless they might be self-dusting?
