I guess this is initially a bit of self-promotion (hey, I'm a writer, it's what we do!), because after finally logging into this alt for the first time in years (this is Tatelou's alt, btw, in case ya don't know!), I noticed the link in the sigline to the "EarlChick" collaboration - a "story" by The Earl and me.

I'd forgotten all about it! I went and had a read, and damn it's hot, lol. I remember how we wrote it now... The Earl and I were chatting via the forums one day, and he suddenly started writing some very sexy stuff to me, so I reciprocated and it went from there. Everything in the "story" that is posted in Erotic Couplings was written on the hoof, right here on the AH. It was a lot of fun and I think the end result is a very horny read indeed.

So, the point of this thread... have any of you written collaborations with another AH writer (I know Imp and Bel have, but that's big league, lol). If so, give us the link to the story, so that we can all go read!

I don't mean serials, btw, I mean one complete story, written by two (or more) authors.

Also, if you've never tried a collaboration, it's a lot of fun!

Let's get some more going! :D

Ari and I started writing one together, but it never went anywhere.

I miss her.

Rhys and I wrote this flash fic very late one night. This is the first time I've re-read it. Italics are his, straight text is mine. I didn't mean it to be a vampire story, but neither of us had any idea where it was heading.

Consume me

There is wine.
Wine is not something I know much about. I know you could teach me, if you had the time.
But time is not something we have. There is only now, and the wine you took from the sliding door in the wall.
Outside the glass, the galaxy shines. Stars spin and whirl in their immense and timeless ballet that mortals like myself can never understand. Your pour the wine into the paper-thin glasses and it splashes, dark burgundy, almost black. You lift it to my lips. I don't care about anything but your eyes staring at me as I swallow. It's thick, heady, and almost solid. It burns.
The stars spin.

Behind us there is a bed. At least, what I might call a bed, I don't know what you call it on this planet. Piles of something soft, luscious and tactile against my hands when I reach back with my fingers. You smile. You stand over me as I sink back.

We have not spoken a word. There is no need to speak and I don't know if I would even understand you anyway. There is an outline around you like a halo, sparkling all around your outline, stars behind you, glass, darkness, spinning and spinning.

The wine has made me lightheaded. Your hands spread over my chest and push me backward and the softness of the bed caresses me. Or is that your lips?

I am caught in a web. Your lips wind me up and your hands make my clothes disappear.

My face is in the softness now. It's a little hard to breathe but I can't seem to care. My mind is stuffed with cotton and fur and a million zillion stars. I think you're touching me but I can't be sure. I can't be sure of anything. I close my eyes and drift on a wave of peace while warm fingertips - or whatever it is you call them - brush over my skin.

My name. You say my name, it's an unfamiliar word in my ear but I know it inside. I know you calling to me. I know your body when it sinks down over mine and presses into my flesh.

I think I may fall off the edge of the glass and into the vortex.

Want you, want you and everything is gone. Everything. You take it all away. Your lips, your tongue, your skin. You wash me completely clean and then fill me up and then consume me.

When I open my eyes you are over me. You're smiling and you brush the sweat from my forehead and lick it from your fingers.

I will follow you anywhere.

Convince me

You say you are consumed but I see a fine figure of a man laying in my bed, gratuitiously clothed and I am wondering, where did this begin?

Was it the wine, heady burgandy too much red and thick like clabbered ink that clotted in your head, soaking your skin, stealing your breath, and leaving your laboured? I watch the sweat, glistening on your silken skin and wonder, where did this go, why did it spin out of my control so fast?

Were you leaving then, your trousers tangled at your ankles, your shirt askew the pearl buttons scattered on the floor like dangerous marbles to unbalance the unwary? Should I be wary of boys with their silken promises and silken mouths that drink from me, and beg for just one more?

If I grant this precious wish, do you call me vampire and swear I coerced you later, perhaps when all of your vanity and humanity has drained away leaving you a darkened shell? I would leave you in the light. I would leave you bare and naked, cold on my floor than condemn you to hell but I would like another taste of your sweetness and agressive innocence. How long has it been since someone called you innocent? You are not guileless but you know, as you dip your lashes and your glance slides away from me coquettishly.
Shy, sweet boy, delicious, malicious, I would take you, I would consume you, and I would burn you with the insatiable flames of hell itself, is this what you really want?

Soft supple, succulent skin, flesh on flesh, thrusting deep, penetrating cells and watching them lyse. Are you with me? Are you sure?

Are you sure?

****
Release me. Take me.

Such a galaxy you create for me. Your lips taste me and your tongue, it dances over my skin like the sweetest promise I've ever heard. You show me this world, all the things that could be, will be mine if I follow you. The stars are endless and the pleasure wipes my mind. It's pain and it's pleasure all at once.

Such promises. Such a slow and delicate slide into unknowing oblivion. It's my voice but it's not my voice. The animal inside my skin rises up to meet its master and I lick my teeth. My fingers itch. I dig them into your back.

My body needs this. It swirls in stars. So many stars in my eyes and in my mind and bursting up through my body. You are pulling me in and the darkness is such a seductive comfort, tugging at me, sharp as knives. Sharp as teeth.

But my mind stutters. I grip the furs and pull back just enough to look into your eyes and they are purple-gray and the stars are faltering, like a reel-to-reel film projector that skips a frame or two.

The stars fade.

*****
When the celluloid gets too hot it melts into sepia slag. Your body is still warm, pliant in my arms, pale and the pallor in your cheeks is increasing.

No blush of life to warm me. Outside perhaps inside I hear the slowing of your heart like horses hooves at full gallop slowing, and slowing until almost imperceptable there is a moment

Like crystal, hardening in my mind, the obsidian blade of teeth against my wrist pressing it to your mouth, the fount of my bloodline following into your hollow body. In that instant the stars fade then burst into a supernova filling you with the light of darkness. The shadows that follow you now know your name and your kind and who made you. They curse and scream because they can't have you, you are my child, my boy, my lover my insatiable one, and I want to drink you again and taste your salty sweetness as the flavour rolls against my tongue. I want to drown in it, revel in it, get drunk on it better than any wine in a newly minted cask. We can steal away, clad only in night, on ships at sea and discover so much that the night has to offer...

Will you dream then? Dream of living and dying over and over or will you be a joyous child, curious and predatory? Time tells all. What are you dreaming now? I watch your eyelashes flutter and you lips twitch and I know you are in that last land between dreams and awake...what do you dream now, I can't help but wonder...

Then the wonder of your lips draws me in...

*****
Kiss me, kill me

The wine burns like fire. I dream and I dream of vaulted desert skies and I want to stay there forever. I struggle to pull from your grasp so I can stay but you won't let me go. You are threaded in my veins like worms. I feel you clench all through me. Brittle. Demanding.

You are taking me with you.

You make me open my eyes. When I do everything is drenched in wine. It's bitter and burning and I cough.

Your eyes are there but there are no more stars. Only blackness. Only your hands holding on to me. I see you for what you are now.

Your lips cling to me but I can only taste the lingering acid sting. The thing that makes my bile rise. When I push you away you catch your breath. The galaxies in your eyes are black and the stars reel in pain.

You wanted me to dream of you. You wanted to show me everything and lead me into the swirl of stars.

You thought you made me into your image but instead, you've made yourself my slave.

I've not done that here, yet. At least not when it comes to fiction, I should say. I have several poems that were done in tandem with another writer. Oh, and some SRP play that could pass for a single story with a modicum of editing, although most RP would prolly count as being serialized.

Google docs-- you can post the whole text online with both people having editing privileges, and tweak as you go.

I collaborate with Sabb on Literotica, under the name Shabbu. We have a couple of books in the works to be published elsewhere ("Cigars!" and "The Tree of Idleness"). I live on the East Coast of the United States and he lives on the East Coast of Australia--and we've been collaborating for nearly two years now in cyber space.

Emerald Kitten and I wrote a story by collaboration, quite a while back, called 'Cut and Dried'. We had a ball writing it together, and the editing process, via Yahoo IM was hysterical.

Cut & Dried

It is still the most successful story on my page (some of the others have of course, been removed, to be included in the Coming Together Series.

Many of the 'older' members of lit have read and enjoyed it, it would be interesting to see the take of some of the newer members who may not have read any of my/our work.

Enjoy.

a  for that, love...

now the question will be what happens to those collaborations when we are constantly together. I don't think it will dramatically change the style of the finished product, but the process is going to be completely new...

joey'sgame and I wrote one in SRp, that was unusula in that it came to a close. :D We put it into 'transcripts and letters' and it won readers' choice for that category.

End of Innocence

I'm bookmarking this thread. Reading material, yay!

I'd collaborate on a story with someone, but they would have to do all the fuck-bits, leaving me to concentrate on my forte, three-hundred word descriptions of the drapery and fittings.

Indeedy, me too! :D

I'm soooo pleased I started this thread... always good to get some quality authors to pimp their stuff, and this way we get two for the price of one!
