Coincidence

I rarely, if ever, give a 1 ( I figure it will get swept). If it is a good story, but poorly written, I give it a 3 and tell the author why. Also a 3 if I hate the story/outcome, but it is well written. If it disgusts me, a 2. Otherwise, a 4 or a 5.

One of the really healthy things for me about being on Lit, and AH in particular, is realizing that I’m not a total outlier when it comes to being analy retentive 😊.

It's a wonder the site doesn't crumble under the load of every author obsessively reloading their control panel.

Yeah... the control panel can get really slow sometimes, so slow that my browser frequently gives me a nag message about it, that it's the site's fault. Or, rather, it's something in the code that handles the local display, probably hung-up on fetching data from the server. It crashes the browser every once in a while. What I'm seeing is that the control panel page pings the server frequently if I leave it up but in the background. I've stopped this habit.

The bulk of those slowdowns are probably when intensive tasks ( such as sweeps, toplist updates, cache updates, database maintenance etc. ) are running. Most of them happen after midnight U.S. Eastern time in my experience.
