I read about people doing it in this forum but I'm not sure how it's done. I have three chapters of a story that are generating tons of comments and reads and ratings, per my dashboard:

yet none of the three show up on my author page:

https://www.literotica.com/authors/metropolinational/works/stories

For additional weirdness, if I sort the author page list alphabetically, two of the three stories in the series do show up, but with a much lower number of views that in my dashboard page.

They all belong to a series that does show up as published in my series page:

What should I do to get someone to look at this? I am getting comments in the stories and emails asking for chapter 3, which is published, and others complaining that they cant get back to my story if they leave it, etc.

Many thanks!

This is a general, long-standing problem with the site. Different lists and different views update at different times. It may take a day or two for new stories, or new comments, to make it onto the views where you would expect to find them.

As well as submitting a contact report, PM Laurel and Manu

The data disconnects are a constant issue, with different data sets renewing on different cycles. I don't ever worry about those disconnects, but the joining up things you mention, they're worth a look.

This is still not fixed. @Manu @Laurel
Right now, readers can't find Chapter 3 of this series anywhere. It exists here:

https://www.literotica.com/s/the-dignity-of-slaves-ch-03

but its not listed on my author page at all. Nor is it listed as a new story anymore, so it's essentially existing in a vacuum.

The two prior chapters are listed on my author page if sorted alphabetically, but not if sorted chronologically.

The most shocking thing about all this is that the three chapters have somehow collected 50K views and over 300 comments anyway. The power of LW is such that stories get read even if not listed anywhere!!

I don't see any of them when sorted by newest, but I see all three chapters when I sort your page alphabetically. The series page also has all three, and the "read more of this series" links from chapter 2 to chapter 3 (and back to chapter 2 from chapter 3).

Hey, you are right. I think that literally just changed - and now they are bundled in a series! Things are looking up!!

There is also a "Report a Problem" link in the lower right hand corner of each page.
From what I've read here in the forums, reporting a problem is simply a waste of time. I've yet to hear of anyone getting a reply or action as a result. Some aspects of the site just seem broken.

You can literally look up a few messages to see someone saying their problem was fixed, so ....

Maybe it was coincidence, but I've seen things fixed after I used that method to report them.

my problem is still there. lots of people still complaining that they can't see my story. it sucks.
Shows on your story page for me, both alphabetically and in newest to last.

Do your complaining folk know how to sort both ways? I suspect you might have a user issue, not a site issue.
