For the first time they're using this code for "High" threat level. Ashcroft related that since January '02, terrorist cells have been in transition in the world. The government is going into dispersal, the 5th fleet has gone on alert in the Gulf. I'm packin' heat on 9-11.

Is anyone changing their plans? Calling in sick to work? Withdrawing any large amount of cash? Not going up any high buildings? Do you think the terrorists might want to top the 9-11 hits? :D

LC- When are you not packing heat? Church? DMV? Bank?

I'd really like to know :D

Also Muslims use a lunar calendar (according to, I believe, Lazarus or Azwed) so if they wanted to attack on their anniv of 9/11 they would attack on a different day than our 9/11.

Also the color codes are pretty much meaningless. After the institution of the color codes we've always been on "Moderate alert" never normal.

Also, Tom Ridge is from a swing state, showing that the object of Homeland security is truely reelection.

All my Love,
The Roonie.

Ahhhh ya got me! (rebuttal)

#1. Orange is a cool color, part of the Harley logo.

#2. Suprisingly, I don't pack in the shower! I do have a divers knife in there!

#3. An armed society, is a polite society! I am highly trained in firearms, more so than most SRT members, I am more comfortable in a room of armed people, than a room full of future victims!

:D

:D

1. I'm sure Tom Ridge did not think of Harley's when he was thinking of that. Perhaps school colors.

2. 'Psycho' was NOT a documentary!

3. Can you at least agree that having a concealed hangun liscence will at least get rid of some of the retards who want to pack heat?

4. Don't you love me too? :(

LC

Put the heat away......paint me orange and then lick it off. I'll bet you will be packing something else besides heat if you do!:D

I can't believe...

I can't believe how some people can be making a joke about something as tragic as 3,000 people loosing their lives, because of some god damn terrorists!

I realize that making jokes is a way for people to cope with this, but this is just sad... I asked a serious question on another thread about what people are doing tomorrow - and the 3 answers I have gotten so far are - nothing special, and the usual and, most horrifically, "Packing more heat"... that's great - just what this god damn world needs - even more guns! Isn't that what got the US into this whole shit storm to start off with? If they'd just keep their goddamn noses out of the business of the countries on the other side of the world!!!

If they wanna kill each other over there, then let em! Do you seriously think that Iraq and is gonna care if the US suddenly decided to declare a war on Canada? Jeez! Leave them alone and let them figure out their own god damn problems!

AUGH... sorry, just had to rant for a second there... With 9/11 being tomorrow, I guess I'm being extra emotional today.

1. And a cool color at that.

2. My Glock is waterproof... but my heater of choice is the good ole' Springfield govt. issue 45! I do like my KABAR alot though!

3. As a highly trained and an extremely well practiced USMC vet, not only do I always pack heat, I do so with a concealed permit as well.

4. I don't fly commercially, I bank online, I utilize bank transfers and very little cash...(hint... I friggin hate banks, pisspoor airport security, and most other forms of "professional" protection of our citizenry... I do have however have the utmost respect for the underpaid and highly overworked uniformed personnel of this country)

5. I will practice a moment of silence tomorrow morning, as well as a prayer for the victims of last years' attacks... yet I will carry on as I always have and will continue to do.

If you thought I was joking about the attack you are totally misreading me. LC is a reationary moron and I was calling him on that. Spin's joke was funny and far from inappropriate as it was directed at LC and no one and nothing else.

I think you are being a little over sensitive, and that's understandable.

I have no worries about terrorist attacks where I live. Terrorists would most likely attack a major monument, which we have none, a major business intstitution, which again, we have none of, or a major government installation, which we also don't really have. We do have Redstone Arsenal here, but frankly the damn thing is far to spread out to make a viable target, and security has been paranoid as fuck. So I plan to catch the news to see if there are any anniversary attacks, and then probably write some porn.

I don't carry a gun myself in any case. Better I be a victim than a criminal.

An attack on 9-11 makes some sense, but strategically, I think they are going to go for something less obvious until the symbolism comes clear after the fact.

I was scared before, but now that I know that Lost Cause and Floridaguy are packing heat, well shit. We have nuthin' to fear now...these guys are perfeshunuls! Shee-it! And they both dig orange too. Yee-ha!

Them towelheads better run for the hills...

I know I'll stop locking my doors. Nothing to fear now. The world is safe and pleasent.

reactionary moron? (sniff,whimper)..

I was in this terrorist biz before most of you were born. I have been armed for that long also. I pack heat with a concealed pistol permit that goes through a complete background check! I have held a top secret clearance, that means they check your great-great-great ancestors for any signs of twitchin'! To shriek and moan about inanimate objects (guns) being the cause of man's evils, is the same as equating the WTC jets as the problem. How neurotic! I was born to pack, I'm an American!
And yes Spin, "I love ya man!" :D

Great, so you're old and armed. Lovely. Be sure to take all your meds before cleaning your weapon. Wouldn't want you to get the shakes and accidently blow your head off. Really.

"I was born to pack, I'm an American!"

Oh look! A new national motto! Land of the Free Home of the Brave! Feh! What were we thinking?

i have yet to encounter a locked door that has prevented me from completeing a contract.

It doesn't matter. Normally only countries and the elite rich can afford scylis anyway.

How rich? Are we talking billions? I can't afford billions.

How about we just put him in a room with floridaguy, a bottle of tequilla and a couple of semi automatic rifles? I'll bet it wouldn't take that long.

actually, i'm fairly reasonable for just one individual. it's just that to complete most contracts, i have to kill a number of other people besides the target. that drives up the price a bit.

$20,000 a head. this includes every single casualty i inflict, not just the target. now, sometimes another "compensatory" charge is tacked on depending on the location, the danger, or the extreme measures i have to take to complete the contract. for instance, it's another $100,000 for jobs that take me to Europe, Japan, South America, or Australia. it's another $100,000 if it's to be made to look like an industrial accident, also. and if you want someone dead in, say, Afganistan, Israel, Vietnam, or China, it's a whopping $600,000 extra. the basic charge per head stays the same.

Not billions, but generally you need to be fairly wealthy. He's cheaper than a private army, but not exactly for those on a budget.

Hmmm... reminds me of years past... sounds like a good basic rate though.
