They all have plus and minuses.

Plastics/rubber are the cheapest and easiest. One size fits all, so no worries there.
Leather pretty inexpensive, tons of varieties for leather play gear. Gotta watch the snaps though....ouch if they pinch your skin.

My favorites are stainless. (Chromed metal will start to react with your skin. So you can't wear them for any length of time. ) stainless on the otherhand is inert and you can wear all day, every day!
I love the heft of them, you know you are wearing one!
They tend to be more $, but not overly so. Plus it is important to get the correct size. Too big, and it will slip off (and if you're like me and wear one almost 24/7 that could be embarrassing) too small and it could get very uncomfortable when you are erect.
