Houston, we have a problem... We have more missing images. I have mentioned this to Manu, but no response as of yet as he's probably working on it.

Just thinking outside the box... As well as the above steps, it may be wise, once the image is saved to your device or desktop, to rename it?

It's quite difficult deliberately finding a problematic image to replicate the issue. I'm not sure this is it, but thought I'd continue the theme...

Thanks again for the advice. I would prefer not to save any racy images to my computer, since I may not remember to delete them after uploading to Lit, and other members of my household have access to the computer. There must be a way to correct this issue on the new platform so the process could be identical to that of the old format.

Ideally yes, I'd prefer that too. But until this theme matures, we could be stuck with the issue for a while.

But I can appreciate your dilemma. I've been in a very similar situation in the past.

However, even in the previous version, images would still disappear if you pasted the link from a website you needed to click into, or sign into. Certain websites that have neither of those mechanisms, will have a lock on the image itself if they choose to.

I'm unable to do it every time, but if you can locate the image again, please provide a link, and I'll change the name and see if it makes a difference... Sorry I can't be much help, but I'm not on the dev team... I'm just a humble, albeit enthusiastic sub!

Just an update...

Renaming the image file doesn't work. But this workaround should work for you ouchfeelsgood (and others who need it) until it's fixed (please Manu and Dev team!)... So to be honest, avoiding the images button is probably best for now...
  1. Create an imgur account
  2. Go to your image page
  3. Open a separate browser window containing the image you want to use
  4. Click and hold (it may not work with every website, or it can be a bit tricky) transferring the image to the other browser window containing imgur
  5. Let go, and it should populate into your imgur account
  6. If it's a large image (either 1000 pixels wide or more, you'll have to resize it in imgur
  7. After that, or if not needed, click on the image, and click the Copy button beneath BBCode (message boards & forums)
  8. Then paste in place within your post window before submitting...

Nothing wrong with being naked and getting "attention" from multiple females. ;)

Thanks for the Imgur advice. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon by Manu.

You're welcome ouchfeelsgood...

What works way better if the website allows for it:

Right click the image, select copy image link
Go onto imgur, and Ctrl+V to paste... Way easier than dragging...

Agreed ouchfeelsgood... It's always good to get in with in-crowd...:heart:
