if anyone is defending this action, defending the indefensible, may your conscience forgive you.

There is “defending the indefensible”, and then there is “putting / keeping things in perspective”.

The U.S., etc, did some pretty horrific things to knock the fight out of the fanatical Germans and Japanese in World War II to end the years-long fighting and achieve a lasting peace. (Yes, the Israelis ARE doing some pretty horrific things - and for what I would submit are nearly identical reasons.)

The US election has changed the game in Israel and the rest of the Middle East. The $40 billion in oil revenue Iran has collected due to Biden’s non enforcement of US sanctions is about to shut down. The maximum pressure campaign is coming back. And Iran’s nuclear facilities will no longer be off limits from any attack. Iran and it’s surrogates Hamas and Hezbollah have some serious recalculating to do.

For fourteen hundred years the extreme friction between Shia and Sunni Moslems has been THE norm and will never change. As a lifelong believer in the right of Israel to exist as the home for those who follow the Jewish faith, I think that the enmity shown by the Moslem tribes to Israel is secondary to the religious civil war. I know that may be an extremely crass statement but I believe it to be true.

That is why it is so important for President Trump to continue with peace making, via the Abraham Accords, that he achieved in his first term.TINA…there is no alternative. Biden’s relative lack of attention to the Middle East has been a disaster.

Northern Gaza at imminent risk of famine, WHO says

Trump’s election sparked celebrations in Israel, and has fueled concerns among analysts of further escalation amid a deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

IDF says:
It also said that 713 aid trucks were brought into northern Gaza since the beginning of October.

However, this amounts to an average of just 18 trucks per day, far short of what is required. Before the current conflict began in October 2023, more than 500 trucks per day crossed into Gaza, according to the International Rescue Committee.

Israel's parliament also voted in October to ban the operations of UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, the primary agency delivering humanitarian aid in Gaza, that also provides essential services such as health care, education and psychological support.

PM’s aides said suspected of blackmailing IDF officer to alter records from Oct. 7

On Tuesday, the court made public the existence of another investigation into “events related to the beginning of the war.” Hebrew media indicated the probe was related to a July report on Ynet that Netanyahu’s former military secretary, Maj. Gen. Avi Gil, had some months before warned the attorney general of efforts to change protocols of security discussions.

Channel 13 said Netanyahu’s office was especially spooked by the probe that was publicized on Tuesday, and that Gallant’s ouster hours later was a bid to divert the public’s attention.

According to Channel 12, as part of the alleged attempt to change protocols, Netanyahu’s aides are thought to have used “sensitive footage” of a military secretariat officer in order to coax him into changing protocols discussions from the night of October 6-7, 2023 — hours before thousands of Hamas-led terrorists stormed southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages, sparking the war in Gaza.

While Israel's wars with Hamas and Hezbollah continue in Gaza and Lebanon, Qatar officials no longer will mediate a cease-fire deal on behalf of Hamas, NBC News reported. CNN and Fox News unnamed U.S. officials also confirmed the decision.

The IDF has targeted Hamas and Hezbollah militants during dozens of military actions begun Friday morning and continuing through the overnight hours and into Saturday.

Hamas recently rejected a cease-fire proposal mediated by Qatar.

Qatar officials notified Hamas, Israeli and U.S. officials regarding its decision to expel Hamas 10 days ago.

"Qatar has become increasingly frustrated with a lack of progress toward a cease-fire by both Hamas and Israel," one of the diplomats told NBC News Saturday morning.

"Hamas has been told that if this continues then Qatar cannot continue to host them."

Um, DonOld assassinated Iran’s national hero, tried to collapse Iran’s economy, excluded the Palestinians from the Abraham accords, moved the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, imposed Muslim bans, made the “Doha Deal” with the Taliban that released 5,000 hardened Taliban fighters and collapsed the Afghanistan government, etc, etc, etc,

😑

Biden turned it all around and rebuilt Iran's economy by dropping Trump's sanctions, he allowed them to sell oil, and gave them billion upon billions of both American and sequestered dollars they needed to fund the current war in the Middle east. Yes Biden paid for all of Iran's war efforts currently underway. The money that went to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Biden did that. When Trump left office Iran was economically crippled. They were all but done. Then along came Joe Biden and the war hawks.

Rightard FAILS to understand / comprehend the point that was being made:

DonOld was NOT a “peace” maker, and DonOld fucked up the Middle East in maaaaaany ways.

Fuckwits, like Rightard, FAIL to recognize / acknowledge DonOld’s contributions to the conflicts in the Middle East AND Ukraine, etc (not to mention weakening the U.S. alliances). Just like they FAIL to recognize / acknowledge DonOld’s contributions to the Covid crisis AND the subsequent economic crisis (inflation) - not to mention DonOld’s contributions to domestic social unrest. (The Derek Chauvin riots and looting occurred under DonOld’s administration - after Derek Chauvin was “rough” on (murdered) a handcuffed George Floyd at DonOld’s instruction..)

Fuckwits, like Rightard, NEVER hold DonOld or republicans accountable and make them take responsibility for ANYTHING. (Including rape, other criminality, and treason.)

Hope that ^ helps.

👍

Welp, Biden's 30-day ultimatum to Israel to come up with a plan to cease their campaign of genocide hit the deadline yesterday.

Israel celebrated the deadline by bombing a few schools in Gaza to thumb their nose at America, a giant "fuck you" to the Biden administration.

The Biden administration....did nothing.

Extremely disappointed that Israel has backed the United States of America down.

To make matters worse, in fiscal year 2024 America has sent more weapons (mostly bombs) to Israel than any other year since 1948. Twice as much, in fact.

I thought Biden might use his "lame duck" status to shore up his reputation in history.

After the betrayal of Kamala (and Joe) at the polls from the anti-Israel crowd because they (Kamala and Joe) wouldn’t reward Hamas / Iran with a strategic "win" for 10/7 and their bad faith hostage negotiations (the anti-Israel crowd betrayed Kamala and Joe even after they sacrificed massive amounts of political / electoral capital over Gaza, etc) Kamala and Joe are STILL pressing for humanitarian aid, but they are certainly under NO obligation to stop supplying Israel with the materials to successfully prosecute the war against terror.

Kamala and Joe losing the election due to the betrayal of the anti-Israel crowd - AND giving Hamas and Iran a strategic "win" by weakening Israel - would be adding injury to insult. (or vice versa).

Fuck that ^ !!!

Because Israel has the final say on enforcing its national security and Joe's pro-Hamas and pro-Iran positions are not supported by the American people, or the incoming administration riding an election tidal wave of their support.

Biden is a lame duck president and as such needn't care about American opinion or who won the election.
He's still president until January 20th.

THE HAGUE (AP) — The world’s top war-crimes court issued arrest warrants Thursday for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former defense minister and Hamas’ military chief, accusing them of crimes against humanity in connection with the 13-month war in Gaza.

The warrant marked the first time that a sitting leader of a major Western ally has been accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity by a global court of justice. The decision turns Netanyahu and the others into internationally wanted suspects, putting them at risk of arrest when they travel abroad and potentially further isolating them.
