By that logic it is also wrong to compare Hamas’ terror attack on thr 7 October to the Holocaust.
If that’s the position everyone took I would welcome it.

Side note:
At any time after the October 7th rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation, the Hamas animals and the Palestinian "civilians" could have released the hostages, and the leaders of the Hamas animals could have surrendered to Israeli or international authorities and assisted in the destruction of the terror tunnels and weapons caches. Then Israel would have no justification for their current actions.
That ^ also would have spared Gaza from Israel’s less surgical method of achieving those objectives.
Of course, IF the Hamas animals and the Palestinian "civilians" had never conducted the October 7th rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation (and ALL of the previous attacks), Israel most certainly wouldn’t have any justification for their current actions.
Yet here we are…

I completely agree with this as well.
There is a huge issue with people delibrately using inflammatory rhetoric and grossly exaggerating/twisting events and information to invoke strong emotional and irrational responses, both from supporters and opponents on any particular issue.

Hmmm....it looks like yesterday's Israeli indiscriminate slaughter of Gazan refugees is FINALLY triggering some international pushback.
The military's excuse was "we were only firing weapons into the air or at their legs" as if that is some mitigating factor.
Some are saying this is similar to Israel's "Grapes of Wrath" slaughter of Lebanese years ago which essentially ended the Israeli-Lebanon war and brought down the Peres government.
Israel is no longer the "good guys" here.

You’re uninformed, and ignorant of the destruction that Israel has wrought on its neighbour.
I deplore Hamas and their creed, but they are literal paper tigers. Israel has firepower that outguns them at every level. Claiming Hamas could carry out a genocide whilst enacting one of your own is possibly the best and worst example of western hypocrisy.

I agree, but it’s bloody difficult from my POV to argue that Israel have ever been the good guys given their history and the long standing apartheid regime and destruction of the Palestinians.

There is indeed a great deal of history on the issue.
One thing I will say about Israel is that its creation and existence seems to be orchestrated and maintained solely on the basis of religious justification.

And the point was about why what the Hamas animals (and others: Iran, Egypt, Syria, Jordan Hezbollah, etc) have done / are trying to do is comparable to the Holocaust: Those entities had / have a master plan / final solution to eliminate Israel and Jews.
In the annals of history, I would submit that the Jewish people have been disproportionately on the receiving end of being violently dispossessed of life and property as opposed to them doing the dispossessing.
I’m fully informed on ALL of the destruction from ALL parties involved.
The raped, tortured, murdered, and kidnapped Israelis would disagree.
The Hamas animals are not alone in their quest to eliminate Israel and Jews.
Again: NONE of Israel’s RETALIATORY actions would have happened sans the Hamas animal’s (and Palestinian "civilians’") October 7th rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation, AND the Hamas animal’s declaration that
October 7th would be repeated until Israel and the Jewish people were no more.
Any country would do the same thing under the same circumstances. Many would do far worse for far less. (See: Russia’s completely unprovoked and barbaric attack on Ukraine.)

Pushing this incident a bit too far, as horrendous as it is. Reports indicate that most of the casualties are from the relief trucks trying to move out of the area because of the gunfire. That's bad, of course, but most of the casualties weren't from the gunfire.
The incident was bad enough without misrepresenting what happened.

The incident was a giant Israeli clusterfuck, start to finish. Israel told the UN it would handle relief supplies instead of them this past weekend. The UN had the process down to a science, rolling in with security, setting up queues, etc.
The Israelis just had random trucks coming in, honking horns. Refugees had NO idea what was going on, at first thought it was an attack or something, then when they realized there was FOOD they mobbed the trucks. The Israeli Genocide Force thought the refugees were "attacking" the Israeli trucks (*wink *nudge) and made matters worse by firing shots in the air.
That panicked the crowd even more (Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!) so the Israeli Genocide Force started "firing at their feet" (Not unlike the Buffalo NY police dept in 2019, many headwounds from "shots at the ground).
