Israeli’s recent response to October 7th was excessive . Claiming it compares to the Holocaust is wrong, and demonstrates an ignorance of history. As a non partisan person on the whole Israel/Gaza issue, may I ask at what point would you declare the Israel military action against Gaza excessive?
Fair enough.Israeli’s recent response to October 7th was excessive .
I completely agree with you there.Claiming it compares to the Holocaust is wrong, and demonstrates an ignorance of history.
By that logic it is also wrong to compare Hamas’ terror attack on thr 7 October to the Holocaust.Israeli’s recent response to October 7th was excessive . Claiming it compares to the Holocaust is wrong, and demonstrates an ignorance of history.
Out of control Israeli military randomly opens fire on Gazan refugee camp, 100 dead, 700 wounded.
CNN calls this a "chaotic incident". Many observers say this is reminiscent of the My Lai Chaotic Incident back in Vietnam
I, for one, do Nazi the resemblance.
I completely agree with this as well.By that logic it is also wrong to compare Hamas’ terror attack on thr 7 October to the Holocaust.

If that’s the position everyone took I would welcome it.
The times of Israel is not exactly an unbiased commentator in these affairs, and the death toll of Palestinians compared to Israelis since 1948 is incredibly one sided, not to mention the sheer destruction of property, infrastructure, displacement, and more throughout Palestine compared to Israel.Um, the Hamas animals had / have literally made the elimination of Israel and Jews their mission statement. And then October 7th happened. (The Hamas animals also stated that October 7th would be repeated until Israel and Jews were eliminated.)
Sounds like the outline for the Holocaust to me.
These Holocaust experts explain it quite convincingly / effectively:

Hope that ^ helps.

I agree, but it’s bloody difficult from my POV to argue that Israel have ever been the good guys given their history and the long standing apartheid regime and destruction of the Palestinians.Assessing any situation or event through the lense of 'good' and 'bad' guys is simplistic and counterproductive.
Real life isn't a movie.
There is indeed a great deal of history on the issue.I agree, but it’s bloody difficult from my POV to argue that Israel have ever been the good guys given their history and the long standing apartheid regime and destruction of the Palestinians.
There’s a recent court case in the UK regarding one Dr David Miller you should read about. Eye opening. There is indeed a great deal of history on the issue.
One thing I will say about Israel is that its creation and existence seems to be orchestrated and maintained solely on the basis of religious justification.

You’re uninformed, and ignorant of the destruction that Israel has wrought on its neighbour.
I deplore Hamas and their creed, but they are literal paper tigers
. Israel has firepower that outguns them at every level.
Claiming Hamas could carry out a genocide whilst enacting one of your own is possibly the best and worst example of western hypocrisy.
Israel's indiscriminate slaughter of 700 refugees
Pushing this incident a bit too far, as horrendous as it is. Reports indicate that most of the casualties are from the relief trucks trying to move out of the area because of the gunfire. That's bad, of course, but most of the casualties weren't from the gunfire.Out of control Israeli military randomly opens fire on Gazan refugee camp, 100 dead, 700 wounded.

Please at least attempt to provide sources. The thread is meant to provide information rather than your perspective on your own information. The incident was a giant Israeli clusterfuck, start to finish. Israel told the UN it would handle relief supplies instead of them this past weekend. The UN had the process down to a science, rolling in with security, setting up queues, etc.
The Israelis just had random trucks coming in, honking horns. Refugees had NO idea what was going on, at first thought it was an attack or something, then when they realized there was FOOD they mobbed the trucks. The Israeli Genocide Force thought the refugees were "attacking" the Israeli trucks (*wink *nudge) and made matters worse by firing shots in the air.
That panicked the crowd even more (Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!) so the Israeli Genocide Force started "firing at their feet" (Not unlike the Buffalo NY police dept in 2019, many headwounds from "shots at the ground).
The usual Israeli Genocide Force massacre, excuse me, "chaotic incident" occurred.
No regard for civilians. Untermench.
Your posts in this thread provide no value.Good
How many "good guys"are there is a war Robbie? War is Hell. You can't start one and then expect it to stop when it goes sideways.Hmmm....it looks like yesterday's Israeli indiscriminate slaughter of Gazan refugees is FINALLY triggering some international pushback.
The military's excuse was "we were only firing weapons into the air or at their legs" as if that is some mitigating factor.
Some are saying this is similar to Israel's "Grapes of Wrath" slaughter of Lebanese years ago which essentially ended the Israeli-Lebanon war and brought down the Peres government.
Israel is no longer the "good guys" here.
