Definitely a must read article.

👍

I would only add:

In that same time frame (a few weeks after 10/7) as mentioned in the article where the clearly premeditated organized rallies, etc, took place, Hamas leadership made a visit to RUSSIA for "some reason" (and 10/7 just so happens to be Putin’s birthday…):

😳 😑 🤬

Sadly I fear that the people who most need to read it will dismiss it out of hand. The genocide slur is attractive to antizionists because it lets them feel morally superior. Admitting that they were duped requires a level of humility that few people possess.

I do agree that we can see the hand of Russia in instigating the Gaza war. Gaza and Ukraine are linked. Every Ukrainian victory diminishes Russia’s ability to fund the propaganda against Israel. A crippled Iran can’t supply Russia with drones.

All of that ^.

The thread isn't closed, obviously. The petulant creator renamed it in an attempt to halt its course.
Petulant isn’t a word I would associate with him, but it is a great word. I’ll have to read what the thread is about and find something trivial to comment on. Thank you!!

Ah I see, this is supposed to be reactions from the international community. Do they do anything or is it that our media just doesn’t talk about it? I saw Canada wants to recognize a Palestinian state, along with Australia and likely others. I saw Germany declined. Go Germany! They make great products.

Basically the international community does a lot of talking and supporting, which amounts to nothing getting done. I’m glad the Israel government isn’t filled with the same weakness as Canada or Australia. I support Israel and the 100% destruction of terrorists.

“Israel is committing genocide”

Go home, you racist fuckers. The debate’s over. You can’t call people liars, or antisemitic, or whatever, anymore.

You’ve been found out.

You’re complicit.

You can all officially go fuck yourselves.

And fuck the Zionist enablers among you.

Member of genocide association says group’s leadership pushed through Israel condemnation without discussion

86% of the 500 scholars agreed with the statement put out

if that's the leadership 'pushing it through' then... whelp...

of course, there will always be someone/s willing to speak against it from the the 14% who didn't directly agree

The leadership refused to put the issue up to debate within the organization before the vote. and only about 130 members voted out of a total membership of 500. This isn't the slam-dunk you think it is.

do you have proof that they 'refused' to put it up for debate, as in they took a deliberately anti-position on debating, or was there no debate for other, normal, even procedural reasons? The woman who stated the leaders didn't do things the way they usually do, to bolster their own agendas, may be one of the few (potentially) who didn't agree with the resolution for their own reasons.

However, having said that, yes, you are right that I misunderstood the size of numbers who actually voted (mistakenly accepting that the quoted 86% was of the total membership and not just of those from a much smaller group who voted, but I have yet to see the evidence about the actual percentage of the 500 who DO support/resist the resolution.
