Clit Rings...HELP!

I'm really confused--
I want to get a clit ring...i've been told they cause sensation loss, but also told theyr'e the best things ever.

does anyone know the best way to go (vertical/horizontal/ring/barbell)?

I have a clit HOOD piercing and i love it. It was very quick healing and is sweetly tucked up in the forward folds of my labia where it doesn't snag on clothing and towels (like labia rings do!). Hood rings increase sensation to your clit with even a breath of touch. Mine is a 14 gauge CBR but i'm going to 12 or even 10 gauge just for the feeling of the added weight. Clit hood piercings are often horizontal so that the bead on the CBR will hang down and touch over or on the tip of your clit.

Clit piercings, now, are another story. I don't have one and would not get one. I've only known one person personally who got one and she abandoned it after a couple months. There was some permanent loss of sensation for her, too, but really i don't know how routine that is. What i *do* know is that in the hands of a nonprofessional, a clit piercing can mutilate you. If you must do it, go to a professional. Please be aware in advance that some (many?) professionals won't even do clit piercings.

just a thought here. but all the nerves that are packed into the head of a penis are the same ones the clit has--just crammed into a smaller space. Anytime you have trauma to a nerve, you risk losing the sensation that nerve provided, or even risk it misfiring (sending singnals of pain when there is none). Another thing is that yes, it might bring increased pleasure for a few months to your clit, but eventually you're going to grow accustomed to it. I think if you really need to pierce that region, go with the hood.

I took your advice and went with the hood. The guy did it vertical, though. I guess I didn't specify and he just did it how he wanted It didn't hurt a lot and hasn't made it too difficult to move around, tho, so I'm not complaining

Another plus is that it is like a bullseye during sex. It tells your lover rrrriiiiggghhhhttttt where to put the most pressure on each in-thrust. I like to change the guage right before I get together with my distant lover to increase my sensitivity. Larger or smaller doesn't matter--different is all that is important to alert your clit that something is up.

(I can't handle sex with the CBR in my hood. A barbell is wonderful, but the CBR gets pulled and caught in the curleys. The skin is so thin, I know it would be very easy to tear out--for my anatomy anyway. Something that is interresting with both my rings though is that when I walk, they "clink" if I am wearing no undies. I definatly had to start wearing panties under my skirts to church and work and such!)

I have thought of taking a piece of tinsel and tying a bell to my labial ring so that the bell hangs below my skirt when I go out. It would probably just look silly, but it is an idea. hood piercings

Ok, my first post but something I finally know something about. About 3 months ago I had the hood of my clit pierced. A glorius experience all in itself. The pain lasted only about a half a second and for the rest of the day I could concentrate on nothing but how turned on I was. The sensations from that moment on gave new meaning to the words "sexual high". Even now, all these days later, it makes me more aware of my clit. BTW I have a vertical piercing, 12 guage, and I was fully healed in 2 weeks.
