Scissors on top, straight across in the back, leave the sideburns where they are, pleaseandthankyou.

And here's a $3 tip because you're on your feet all day and because you took your time on the neck and cleaning the hair off of my face.

Hair cuts = good. Quite a relaxing, tactile little escape for 15 minutes.

Well, about half the time I get someone whose hands smell like they just smoked a carton of Kool Menthols...or maybe just ran their hands through an ashtray. The other half of the time, it's an all-around good thing. And it helps me understand why a girl will purr if you get your fingers on her scalp just so.

I love having my hair washed in one of those sinks. Except when you get someone who scrubs so hard that your head goes banbangbang in the divot.

I also think those twirly chairs could be put to good use.

This makes me remember the "Barber of Seville" Bugs Bunny cartoon, what with the chairs that shot through the ceiling and such.

The girl today was a bit short - she lowered it all the way down and then asked me to slide down a little. I need shorter twirly chairs.

I know neither of those has a thing to do with what you're talking about...and that what you're talking about is probably more interesting. Tangential.

I love that cartoon! :D

I dunno. What's interesting to one is banality to another. :p

FIFTEEN minutes! Spot the boy!!! :) I don't think I've ever spent less than an hour in a salon and that's without highlights or anything like that.

I'm going in for a trim on Monday . . .

i stand on a stool, if i can't reach. being taller, even temporarily is fun. plus, seeing my boobies right above a head is a bit of a psuedo-power trip.

You do hair?

I suddenly feel like hopping in the car and driving all night to get my hair cut in Ca.

LOL...not me. Thank gawd. My sister. Cali, huh? So far away. :( Maybe you could give me suggestions?

a wedding, not your wedding. i need to read slower, and not skim.
:D

what kind of dress? makes a big difference if you wear your hair up or down. simple & elegant is never a bad idea.

you dont wanna look at pics in 15 years and have the equivalant of 'madonna with the lace bow and black roots' trend snafu.

Ok, think perriwinkle. One layer is irridescent material, the top layer is a sheer organza. Straight skirt to my ankles, slits up each side to the calf. Square neck...open weave jacket that buttons at one place just at the top of my cleavage. I don't want to outdo the bride, but I'd like to look my best.

I'm fairly full faced. So I worry about having all my hair up.

you only need a little on the sides to narrow your face. i have the same deal... even if i wasn't a big girl, i would still have an ultra round face. you dont want too much hair left down to compete with a classy square neckline, nor the design of the jacket weave.

i'm thinking an unstructured up-do or twist with strategic pieces left down on the sides of your temples to frame your face and possibly grazing the back of your neck to soften. (if your hair isn't too long)

there is moulding wax, or pomade out now that has a irridecent gloss, so when you put sections of your hair up, wheather it be fat loose curls, or pulled tight sections of hair, it will add depth and shine. verra becoming. go to a beauty supply near you and check out the bed-head line and some of the new sebastian products. ive also seen stylits use pearly eyeshadows rubbed over strands of hair to add ultra subtle highlights to curls and parts of twists.

try some stuff this month, so you aren't faced with a uber-new hairdo 2 days before the big event.
