I'm going on the record here. I think this is a done deal and all else is street theater and money grubbing. And I think the deal was cut long ago.

WRONG! Neo-con!!!

WRONG!!!

A black man on the ticket will suppress the white Democrate vote. Who wants to vote themselves out of the driver's seat? Only the black man. The white woman likes being driven around...

Did you read the Saul David, oh shit, booze, Salinsky (?) I posted yesterday?

No fix. The Clinton's have been blind-sided by someone outside of their carefully-crafted power structure.

She goes down in flames...

;) ;)

ME262 coming out of the sky.

He had the sun to his back as he walked the Pacific to Chicago...

Remember the ol' Bill Cosby joke about blacks in Chicago?

:D :D :D

I read it. It was a lot more defensive than most anything else. Meaning there was nothing there that I saw that was daming. Actually provided information for her followers.

IF she gets the nominaiton, Obama wil be #2 on the ticket. She and Obama are out there like giant hoovers sucking up the money.

And Geffen isn't necessarily part of the 'fix.'

Who was the DNC party chair that selected Obama to give the speech at the convention?

Terry, who heads Hillary's coronation.

There is still the Dean/Leftwingwacko crowd. But we saw what happened to them with Lamont.

To me, it was later on on page three where Obama and Hillary are directly linked, but Hillary only talked the talk, and decided, in a cold, calculating manner, to further her goals politically, while Obama walked the walk and took the job to work on his goals hands-on. And they both ended up on the same path in a collision course, but with slightly different patinas, and while it would seem a natural linkage, it may have produced two personalities that cannot work together. It's tempting to think he could bring integrity to the ticket, but to be on the ticket, it is the first thing he will have to abandon because what she does is not based upon their shared philosophy, but that which furthers her career.

She needs a limp wrist. Someone for funerals, she's not about to have a Dick Cheney or a John Edwards around "her" White House.

so instead of just going for one political minority - they are going for bust

first woman and first black in the whitehouse at the same time - seems a brave call

I thought you always went for a safe pair of hands for the deputy

when is your election anyway - I thought we jsut had one

Isn't this what most people expect to happen?

If they do, they're doing a damn good job of keeping it to themselves Chey. When you think about, they have to.

Having the ticket set this far out takes all the mystery and fun out of the process. The base becomes bored and the Deaniacs won't be mobilized to write checks.

Together they can't raise anywhere near as much money as they can seperately. Each is appealing to a slightly different base that might not be moved to contribute to the other.

And they use the time honored Divide et Imperum leaving the other potential candidates, Edwards in particular, to chase after the scraps.

I think there was a fear, legitimate, within the Clinton camp that Hillarys negatives left the door open for a serious challenger. What better way to block that possibility than to provide your own challenger?

Still, everyone knows there has to be a VP nomination as well as a Pres nomination. The every day guy on the street has to be thinking these two are top runners and likely to end up on the ticket together in the end.

Given todays PC climate it's not as big a risk as one might think.

*chuckle* It's 20 months out, can you beieve that? They started running the day after the last election.

True, but the guy on the street isn't writing big checks. PAC's, 427's, and well heeled donors are writing the big checks and they weren't all going to write them for Hillary. It's the party intelligentsia that's being scammed here. Which makes it all the more amusing.

She's going to pick a red state govenor, she's about polls and percentages...

Nobody who can upstage her but someone who can help in the election and then travels well.

It's HER day in the sun, and she's not going to share it any more than a French King would. Bill's going to Africa!!! Long-term.

Let's see. The public will be bored shitless at the end of this year and a small rippling of excitement is heard from a southern state governor.................

Of course the public will be bored if they announce too soon.

Which governor? There's only three to chose from.

And by the time election day gets here, many people won't care WHO wins as long as all the campaign crap stops! You won't be able to stand one more commercial, radio ad, etc. about the candidates by then.

I'm already on record with Bill Richardson. It's Demographics dummy!

I also want this on record (for quote material! :D ):

ISHMAEL YOU ARE WRONG! You couldn't be more wrong. You have to understand people and we're dealing with Josefine here, not Eva Peron. On a scale of one to powerlust hungry mad for power, she's Imelda Marcos with fewer shoes.
