Climate Change Skeptic Group Seeks to Influence 200,000 Teachers

Story.

This is, you must understand, the Heartland Institute.

I'm reading this OP and the whole point is that some people don't buy into the theory of global warming so they are offering a different perspective. Then they cherry pick information about people that, one would infer, shows them incapable of having honest, independent thoughts about the topic.
The science is not settled. To suggest that is the case is to demonstrate total ignorance of what science is.
God forbid that students are introduced to ideas in conflict with Al Gore's meal ticket.

The science is settled! Unscrupulous 'scientists' being paid by fossil fuel companies do not count as expert opinions.

Provide the list of all scientists who question man-made climate change (and the "solutions" for it) and their direct link to fossil fuel companies.

Why would a conspiracy be necessary to harness herd mentality and climb aboard a bandwagon?

Can you point to any grants funded where the requestor expressed skepticsm, or pointed to other, more likely causative factors?

I'm really looking foward to the dearth of supportive studies with massive US dollars denied that rathole.
Dearth? I wouldn't use that word for Japan's efforts.

Provide a reliable dataset that shows warming hasn't happened in the past century, or that it happened and then cooled.

I'm not disputing that the climate is changing. I think it's pure idiocy to jack up the price of energy (and really hammering the poor more than anyone else) for some "benefit" that may or may not occur.
People have been challenged with problems throughout history and have overcome them. Fans of pop "science", meanwhile, have been cringing over theories of mass starvation, coming ice ages, overpopulation or whatever, and all those predictions didn't come true.
Climate hysteria will prove to be another.

It amazes me that people who believe in ghosts expect me to take them seriously.

It is possible that that is the single dumbest post ever to appear on Lit.

Why don't you provide a reliable dataset that shows warming hasn't happened since the end of the last Ice Age?

Guess what?
Earth's climate has been changing for the last 4½ billion years. You don't have the foggiest idea in hell why.

Provide the list of all scientists . . .

You mean "climatologists," I hope; other scientists have no particular qualifications to form a scientific opinion on climate change, though for some reason many sign denial-petitions.

. . . who question man-made climate change (and the "solutions" for it) and their direct link to fossil fuel companies.

Any who works for the Heartland Institute, to start with. For more, see here.
