"Just something to remember you by. That's all I ask for." Fiona murmured as Sam pressed a heated kiss just beneath her ear.

Letting the gown slip away, Sam draped it over the desk chair without getting too far from Fiona. Then he scooped her up. But instead of taking her to the bed, he set her in the chair before the fire and knelt before her.

Sam made short work of her underclothes, leaving heated kisses all along the way though he grew more and more impatient as he went. The moment she was bare, he hooked her knees over his shoulders and his tongue pressed into her folds, seeking to devour her.

"Sam." Fiona gasped as he placed her in the chair by the fire, draping her legs over his shoulders to devour her flesh.

Her fingers instantly tangled in his short cropped hair, pulling on it as he did something that she particularly liked. She writhed and moved in the chair, her cub blue eyes closed as she enjoyed each and every sensation that he was giving to her. It was his way to show her that he wouldn't be forgetting her any time soon.

Sam had never been shy about pleasing her. The first week they'd been together, he'd spent half their time in bed just letting her feel everything he could offer.

But this didn't last long as he drew back and tossed aside his shirt and unfastened his belt. He scooped her up again, this time settling into the chair himself and lowering her onto his lap, straddling his hips. He kissed hungrily at her shoulders and breasts while he unbuttoned his trousers, welcoming her to ride him.

Sam's frantic energy wasn't just about giving her a memorable night. It was about leaving her with an impression of himself that she wouldn't forget. He was just as worried as she was that this might be their last night together and they wouldn't waste the moment.

Fiona gasped as she was lifted from the chair abd soon she was riding her lover, quick strokes of her hips over his pleasing the both of them.

Sam's strong back braced against the chair behind him, allowing him to meet her quick strokes with his own thrusts. With a dark groan, he pulled Fiona in close for a fiery kiss. He couldn't help himself as his grip tightened on her hips, guiding her precisely the way he wanted.

Fiona whimpered like a vixen in heat as Sam kissed her with such a fiery heat and held her in place to thrust deeply into her core. She didn't even have to move as he did the work for the both do then, showing her how much he desired her with just a few simple motions.

With such urgency and effort, Sam knew neither could last long. When he finally drew back with a groan muffled against her skin, his seed spilled against her belly and he sought her lips almost desperately once more. But he wasn't done with her yet, his fingers finding their way to her little bud so not to leave her unsatisfied.

Fiona moaned as she felt Sam cum against her belly, pulling her in for a desperate kiss. She let out a squeal when his fingers found their way to her bud, toying with it until she followed him into bliss. She let out a long sigh as she melted against him, her naked body pressing against his own.

"I don't want you to leave." Fiona whispered in the quiet of the room, her forehead pressed against his. "It physically hurts when we're apart."

"It won' be for long, love," Sam murmured softly, though his tone told her he wasn't happy about it either. "Just a couple days. Then we'll be workin' together."

"Promise me that you won't be surly with everyone. You get testy with people when you are away from me." Fiona teased, nuzzling against his cheek.

"I can try, but no promises," Sam murmured, kissing her neck gently as his fingers skimmed over her tattoo when she nuzzled him. It had become a habit of his, almost involuntary now.

Fiona let out a long sigh as Sam ran his fingers over her tattoo. He seemed just as enchanted over her fox as she was.

"When we get married, I want to have some tribal things at the ceremony." She said sleepily.

"Givin' out on me already, love?" Sam asked softly with a smile. He carefully scooped her up and helped her to clean up and dress in a nightgown before he tucked her into bed. Sam shortly joined her side, drawing her back against his chest.

Fiona took a while to relax as Sam held her tightly against his chest. She knew he was awake as well, simply holding her. They would both be effected by what was going to happen, but as a team they couldn't be beat. They would both fight for their home until one or both could no longer fight anymore.

"I admire the way that you can put away your fear to fight for Inverness. Even if it means arriving on the back of a dragon." Fiona said softly, kissing the back of one of his hands.

"It's a necessary skill," he murmured, not trying to pretend that he was really all that brave. "An' I know I can trust Gaiann." When she kissed his hand, his other arm wrapped around her a little tighter.

"... I don' want t'make you think I'm no' happy with you, Fiona... But complete happiness... Tha's a long ways off fer me. I'm still learnin' how not t'feel guilty every time I look a' my brother... I've been unhappy so long tha' I don' even know how t'be happy very much anymore." She and his family were what kept him going. But the truth was that after over a decade of carefully-hidden depression and anger, Sam found it hard to enjoy other things in life without second-guessing or feeling a general melancholy or anger.

"I'll be with you every step of the way, love." Fiona said softly as he admitted that he wasn't really sure what happiness was. "And we'll find a new normal. You don't have to feel alone in this anymore."

"I love you," Sam murmured, pressing a kiss to the back of her shoulder. "I think I've need you fer a long time..."

"You're a good man, Sam." She said softly as he kissed her shoulder and held her tighter. "And I'll spend the rest of my days proving that to you."

The night passed far too quickly, and come morning, Sam and Fiona were up at the same time so he could help her get the drakes settled on the charter ship and see her off. The massive ship was loaded with trade goods but there had been enough room left for the drakes below decks to sleep, and there was enough room topside for them to exercise on the short journey. Fiona had her own private cabin and the sailors greeted her as Lady Blackstone. It seemed her title had spread quickly.

Fiona was staring at the cabin that Sam had set her up in, a little bit of her soul aching. She wanted Same there with her, but once the drakes were loaded, she would set sale and he would disappear into the sky with Invah and Gaiann.

"You have to promise me that you won't do anything foolish until I get back to Scotland." Fiona said, turning to look at Sam as he placed the last of her saddle bags safely away.

"I'll try not t'do anythin' unnecessarily stupid," Sam said with a nod, meeting her gaze. "But no promises, love." He knew Inverness was currently secure, that the real fighting was going on around Normandy trying to keep the Empire from crossing the English channel. Sam's main concern for the moment would be with the navies of Scotland, patrolling the waters and keeping small task forces and scouts out of the isles.

"I mean it, Sam." Fiona said as he promised but couldn't give her a firm answer. "If you're dead by the time I get there with the drakes, I will find a way to bring you back only to kill you again."
