Civil War

The country folk or woods wise crowd will the ones surviving. City folk will turn on each other for a Ritz cracker as soon as the gubberment cant deliver them food or electricity for their vidia games

You do realize the "food supply" is controlled by multinational corporations who don't give a flying fuck who they sell to, so long as they got the cash, right?

And the 'country folk" as you call them, are wage-earning, replaceable shit-kickers working the corporate farms owned by multinational corporations who don't give a flying fuck who they sell to, so long as they got the cash, right?

Of course not. But you go on and keep dreaming.

You can change your name but you can't change your stripes.

Yes, yes, we all, at least most of us know, about EMP bursts. But those capable of employing such a method are as well aware of the ramifications. It's just an alternative MAD train of thought. "I can survive another stone age but you can't."

Again you presume that that hasn't been considered by the planners. Such a silly notion.

The range of the Iranian Shihab3 missile is 800 miles, the Shihab4 is 1200 miles. Either one would be capable of reaching the midland if fired from anywhere within the Gulf of Mexico from outside US territorial waters.

They have to get one there first. Iran doesn't even have a deep water navy. It would be a major accomplishment for one of their warships to even cross the Atlantic.

Those replaceable shit kickers as you call them grow all your food and you'd starve if it wasn't for them.

I agree: your notion is, indeed, silly. Is there a reason why you needed to highlight your personal fabrications once again?

It is conceivable that N. Korea could explode nukes in low earth orbit and wipe out huge amounts of American data and non-military technology with EMPs. They would be a glass parking lot by next day but you never know.

Now that would be the litmus test of American exceptionalism if it could rebuild and not fall into anarchy.

They don't need one. Do you recall The last president of Iran sucking up to Hugo Chavez, what was his name Ack-ma-dinner-jab? He was trying to work some kind of trade agreement.

I'm not saying it will happen but it's well within the realm of possibility since every nation has the right of free passage on the open seas. It would be a simple thing to modify any medium sized freighter to lob one of those missiles from a cargo hold.

America doesn't do anarchy, you dumbfvck canvck.

That opening statement alone indicates you don't know shit. You consistently interject your own peer groups beliefs and opinions into the tableau that is America. One of my pistol pupils is a 21 year old Latina. She's 'arming up' too. You're buying into the premise that the press is trying to foment.

It just isn't true.

Ishmael

Yes, and there's a black man running for President as a conservative. Do you think he's representative too, like your Latina? Methinks maybe it's you who is trying to interject the beliefs and opinions of your own peer group into the tableau that is America. Your opening post tries hard to imply that their is a distinction between the coasts and the rest of the country but that's an old notion (kinda like you, dear). We have this thing called the internet these days which means that ideas (good or bad, new or not) hit all parts of the country at exactly the same time. There is no innovation on the coasts that then leaks slowly into the heartlands. Those days are over. We're much more homogeneous than you think. I'm not necessarily saying that's a good thing. It's just a fact.

Do you have anything to back up your "press is trying to foment" comment?

I don't think it would be that simple. First off it would burn a hole right through the ships hull and kill all aboard. Iran I don't think is united enough to keep such an act quiet. someone would blab or the Israeli spy agency would hear about long before it got out of planning stage.

Again, a suicidal act. Tehran would be a glass parking lot by the next day. Maybe civilians would be given enough notice to evacuate first then city destroyed. Iranian gov does have plans to move critical infrastructure out of Tehran due to it's susceptibility to earthquakes. Such actions would be a precursor to an attack also.

US intelligence gathering from spy satellites has come along way since Cuban Missile Crisis. I'm confident that it would be discovered first. Launch sites are hard to hide. Not impossible just hard.

A terrorist dirty bomb in a freighter in a New York harbour has a better chance.

Those replaceable shit kickers as you call them grow all your food and you'd starve if it wasn't for them.

Why? If they quit, they get replaced by immigrant labor who will happily do the job while those shit-kickers go panhandle change at traffic intersections after their much hated gov't welfare runs out.
Then the unemployed shit-kickers either stave or turn to robbing in their rural, shit-kicking communities, and promptly get shot by the good, gawd-fearin Christians who have the money for guns and a severe lack of empathy.

After all, those dumb, dead shit-kickers who got replaced by immigrants were clearly immoral sinners who deserved their fate, unless they were being tested by jebus in which case they's already in heaven (or hell).

Either way, once a person becomes a replaceable unit of labor, they are only employed so long as they're useful for increasing the company's ROI. As soon as they become a liability, they're gone, but the production continues.

And you're not how?

You're repeating the rhetoric of your peer group.. I know plenty of Americans whose last thoughts are about civil war, and then they think you're refering to the Yanks and the Confederates

You're buying into the paranoia your wingnut masters tell you to.. " the gubbmint is coming to get you ..because! and reasons!"

Your apocalyptic fantasies just dont jibe with reality grampa

I covered that in an earlier post. They're everyman and everywoman from everywhere.

On the "foment" stage we have "old white men." It's a mantra that's being/been pushed for the past decade. And no one wants to be 'old.' A shallow attempt dear mother of my unborn child. As analytical as your mind is I'm certain you've noticed that drum beat in the press.

The basis for that supposition on the part of the press is "registered republicans." And on that basis alone they do have a case to make. Unfortunately for them, if that were true it doesn't account for the drubbing that the democrats are taking from the house, to the senate, to elected positions all the way down to dog catcher. There's something going on around here. If I'm so wrong, why is that happening?

Buy some land around Paxton. Get a pistol and learn to use it. I know you have a shotgun and that's enough to put food on the table. The pistol is to make sure you and yours (and my unborn child) will be able to enjoy that food.

There will always be the afraid and fearful types. A few thousand out of hundreds of millions is nothing to worry about. No system is perfect. There are defects in all.

If damn near 350 million folk say no to war. No it is. They are the true silent majority. The vocal few spreading or buying into fear and hate are just statistical anomalies. You will find them the world over. As long as they are not given control of big red buttons we will all be fine.

tuned up the truck sunday. that's: distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires for those of you in rio linda.

280,000+ miles.

what do you know how to do?

Sunday? I took my Japanese made rice burner to fine portly gentleman like yourself to change the wiper fluid while I watched American football on my big screen Korean made tv.

What do I know how to do? Work smarter, not harder.

You do understand that if you have no fear of anything, you're a psychopath don't you? But it seems to me that you're afraid of damn near everything. And that makes you almost as dangerous.

You throw out numbers, like 350 million, as if that is a fact. And the only fact is that you are projecting that number without any basis. If nothing else 15 years of electoral results put lie to that supposition.

I have no idea where you live or what you do for a living (if anything). but you seem to be living in a bubble.

I have fears, everyone does.

I am betting that the vast huge majority of the US(about 350 mill in pop) are peaceful decent folk who will not give in to fear. They will demonstrate why America is considered a true world superpower and not some deranged scared lunatic with a gun.

I would suggest that as the US has never elected a fascist regime I am correct.

I live in SW Ontario. I work currently in drywall and painting.

I'm surprised you have so little confidence in your country. I always thought Americans had a high opinion of themselves. Or is just the few scared and afraid types who have such a low opinion of their own country. Most other folk are quite proud of their countries.

So your saying Shite Muslim fanatics (revolutionary guards or 12 er's) would not be willing to go on a suicide mission against the great Satan?

If launching the missile would sink the boat how do you pin it on Iran? I think sending 2/3 of the country back to the 19th century would be a bit more pressing a problem than immediately finding out who did what? Your point is well taken yes there would be retaliation eventually when we could prove who did it assuming the Iranians left a trail of bread crumbs

The answer to that relies on who you talk to. There is a growing movement (press) that wants to suggest that all past presidents were fascist's.

As far s confidence, I have a great deal of confidence. As Jefferson said, "From time to time the tree of liberty needs to be watered with the blood of patriots.." Or something to that effect.

I have a great deal of confidence that the attempt on the part of politicians, politicians from both major parties, to 'rule' a nation as diverse as this one is will end in failure. I have a great deal of confidence that the citizens of this nation will make is so.
