that is so true
No it isn't. If you think it is then maybe you need to set your standards a little higher the next time around.

that is so true
Calamity Jane said:We don't require a child's permission to do ANYTHING that we deem medically necessary.
If I had asked my children's permission before having them vaccinated, do you think they would have agreed?
You're making completely illogical arguments to attempt to explain your stance. Why don't you just admit that the thought of a scalpel anywhere near Jr's penis scares the hell out of you?
smy3th said:Shave? Are you kidding? Cut off what God gave us? That would be obscene! I am going to start a campaign to ban shaving of any kind. Just say no to razors! What is the cultural obsession people have with removing hair. It is there for a purpose. Other cultures don't do that. It is some puritanical thing, probably related to religious mis-conceptions. Taking children to the barber is child abuse! Have you ever seen a poor child on his first trip to the barber? It is traumatic! They cry, they scream, they beg, they have to be restrained. Books have been written to try to calm children's fears of this awful event, but still it is one of the most awful days in their young lives, as their own mother surrenders them to this guy in a white coat (the predecessors to the surgeons that remove foreskins, by golly - keep that in mind).
I tell you it is disgusting what mothers will do to their children, purely in the name of fashion. Oh, yeah, they'll make some lame excuse about needing to keep their children's hair short for hygenic purposes, but heck, just teach them how to wash! No scientific study has shown any significant benefit from getting your hair cut.
Did you know that barbers can spread disease? It's true! Shocking, I know, but those are the facts.
Where will it end?
Stuponfucious said:As well it should. Wouldn't the thought of a scalpel near your daughter's gentials scare you? And yes it is the same, otherwise it's sexism, pure and simple.
And it should scare anyone, because it's NOT medically necessary, period. So of course your argument/connection between a removal of a body part and a prick from a needle is just as illogical and exaggerated.
Freya said:Many would argue that vaccination isn't medically necessary either.
Stuponfucious said:No, not many. Slightly more than who are vegan, or who beleive that the earth is flat, or that the moon landing was a hoax. On the vaccination topic the American Pediatric Association says they're wrong too.
an uncut penis is unhealthy and unattractive
Freya said:Actually, the numbers are increasing all the time.
Especially once people learn what's in the vaccine doctors are injecting into their children.
Stuponfucious said:So? The numbers of people who think HIV doesn't cause AIDS is increasing all the time I'm sure. They're still idiots. For that matter, the Earth's population is increasing all the time. Moreover, Greenland is moving north at a rate of about an inch a year. So what?
*gasp* you mean they inject germs into people on PURPOSE?![]()
Freya said:Actually, I was referring to the formaldehyde.
And maybe the idiots are those who follow their doctor's advice blindly without ever once researching to see if there's a better option.
Stuponfucious said:I would've thought you'd be more concerned with the mercury.
You mean like bathing regularly? Generally a good idea either way.
So anyway, if you agreed with me in the first place then why the big hoopla? But it's moot, since she hasn't asked ANY doctors obviously. Even ones who would recommend circumcision, as she is quite clearly prejudiced against it for personal reasons and not valid medical reasons. She simply thinks she knows better than everyone else about a procedure that's centuries old merely because she has more DNA in common with the patient than most others do.
Freya said:I don't agree with you.
Hester, you can always make me laugh.Hester said:about as alive as your foreskin
Stuponfucious said:You just said she should seek a second opinion. I told her that last week.

Freya said:I never said that at all. I was talking about people who preach the safety and necessity of vaccinations without having the full facts at their disposal.
If she was seeking medical advice on whether circumcision was necessary, then yes, she should be educated fully. However, she's making a personal choice based on her own knowledge and opinions and feelings on the matter, so I'd imagine she could see 43 doctors and still proceed as she's chosen to.
thegirlfriday11 said:lmao...you know what they say about people who make assumptions
and who haven't paid attention to previous posts...
i talked to a doctor
and made my decision long before this thread was ever started and i have stated several times that the only thing i hadn't decided on was whether to have it on the first or second day
Stuponfucious said:Oh, you mean the vast majority of the medical community? Yeah, what do they know about practicing medicine anyway? Hacks.

Stuponfucious said:Okay, so why the thread? Looking for external validation to alleviate your guilt, or are you even having second thoughts? If you have already made his decision and you don't care what anyone else thinks, why bring it up?
