Circumcision....discuss?

I don't hear that in what Cheyenne said. I pointed out the stupidity of that statement as well.

Lord Gorgonzola or whatever he calls himself, postulated that women who prefer circumcised men do so because they are unhappy with their own sexuality. That is an absolutely absurd notion, with no backing in fact or logic. I would think that even those who are in agreement with him on the issue would see the nonsense in such a remark.

I know I see it.

There is no indication to me that women who prefer cut cocks do so because of feeling unhappy or inadequate about themselves.

More likely that it's merely because it's what she is accoustomed to (in the U.S.), as circumcision is the societal norm here and has been for quite a while.

Thought we nipped it in the bud...

so to speak.

:)

Well, apparently it was cut short for almost two weeks.

Either way, it's no skin off my dick.

Perhaps U.S. doctors are proponents of circumcision because certain people are making lots of money off of it? Just wondering...

On average, an ob/gyn makes $50,000/year just on downtime circumcisions. The hospital pockets another $50,000. Most don't give the
baby painkillers because they fit circumcisions in to holes in their
schedule. When they have some "down time" they do a circumcision and painkillers
take "too much time".

The American Pediatric Association, says circumsion is unneccesary (the Brithish Medical Association also agrees and is considering making parents wait
until the child is three).

I'd like to see your sources for this.

The result is the same.
No, it isn't. Not even close.

Men who are cut have a full sex life, orgasm and all. Women who lose their clit do not. To make the two comparable, I'd say the entire penis would have to be cut off.

That happens too, although rarely. Even if not, who are you to say it's a full sex life? We can go on and on about how they correlate physiologically. As an example, there are different kinds of both male and female circumcisions, and not all female ones involve removing the clitoris.

That wasn't the point in any case. I wasn't refering to the technical, physical result, but merely that the person's body is still being modified without thier consent. That concept is consistent between the genders. To say that is not enough to equate the two morally or ethically is IMO petty and sexist.

My sex life isn't full. I probably lost about a 1/3 to 1/2 of the most sensitive skin on my dick.

I feel robbed.

I just got the strangest and most hilarious image of a man being mugged at gunpoint for his foreskin.

I must now go back and read this thread...

:D

Better do it with alcohol in your system. And wear good boots. There's a lot of shit in here. :D

I still say a foreskin mugging victim is damned funny.

Perhaps you can draw something up and sell it to local hospital nurseries. Nurses can always use a good chuckle.

Hmm...would stick figures work?

Some interesting bits of...um...phallacy...here.

Pain relief has come a long way for babies, especially with the use of buffered lidocaine in recent times. Parents who want their kid circ'd should demand it; unbuffered (you know those shots you get at the dentist?) or no pain control is beyond cruel in my eyes, if the parents really feel that strongly about it in the first place. Any doc who doesn't use analgesia because of time restraints (it takes like three minutes!) is an asshole or uneducated.

But anyone who says babies can't feel pain, or it doesn't affect them, is mistaken. We know now that babies who experience pain early in life react differently to it later...to either extreme...more sensitive or with little reaction at all. Interesting fact: premature babies who experience unrelieved pain develop different neuronal pathways in their brains than those who don't.

And I know that's not the only other thread on this out there.

Before I back out of this thread I'll just say I wish more parents educated themselves on the matter before signing the consent form. The speel the doc gives you is typically very brief. Be sure there's no history of bleeding disorders in the family and the doc doing the procedure is experienced. You're sons penis depends on it.

boy, I sure am glad I don't have to worry about cleaning under my foreskin, or worry about it getting caught in the zipper. what a relief that it was cut off when I didn't know any better.

I can see this quote on an ad promotion for circs.
