Circumcision....discuss?

I have enjoyed both cut and uncut cocks, so I don't have a marked preference for either as an adult consumer of cocks. I love the slidey sensation of an uncut cock, and I love the smoothness of a cut one. I've seen cocks from both camps that could have benefitted from better hygeine, so I don't think that has to do exclusively with the extra bit of skin.

However, if I ever had a boychild, I would absolutely not have him circumcised. I think it's a brutal thing to do to a baby, and enforced more out of cultural pressure and "penis fashion" than actual functional need. I know that the foreskin is rich with nerve endings, and I wouldn't want to take the slightest chance of compromising my child's potential for full sexual pleasure as an adult.

Here in the US there aren't that many men in my age group that weren't circumsized so I have always loved the novelty of it. I absolutely adore uncircumsized penes. It's so much fun to play with that extra skin.

Insurance doesn't pay for it anymore.

The son was born 2 months early and they wouldn't circumsize him until he was five pounds if we had wanted it done. By the time he was 5 pounds he had been through enough and I wouldn't have even considered it and neither would the husband. If he decides he wants to be circumsized when he's grown, he can. It's his decision.

I think it's a bunch of bull to say that it's worse when you are older. I'm sure it's just as bad when you're an infant but because they can't complain, it's just ignored. I think it's thought it isn't as bad.

I dated a man once whose circumcision was botched. He had a ring of skin on the underside. That was fun to play with, too.

Why would a kid even see his dad's penis to know if they were the same or not? Nevermind, don't answer that.

Anyway, to circ or not to circ, that is the question.

I'm not circumcising my child.

Bent, do you see something wrong with say, a 2 year old showering with a parent?

No, but at 2 years do you really think the kid is gonna keep score and say 'Hey, dad's got a few inches on me'? Doubtful. If a kid can sense a 'difference' then he shouldn't be showering with dad.

Only an adult can make something as harmless and natural as the innocent curiosity of a child into something dirty.

Yeah, I'm in the wrong for finding it wrong, yet someone showering with a kid and showing them their dong isn't.

Agreed. How many infant boys are able to fully verbalize the trauma of the experience?

I really hope you don't have children.

I have 10, and I would hope that people who find it 'ok' for a child to be 'curious' about their parent's privates are the ones that don't breed.

Anyway, I'm not gonna argue this beast, it's disgusting even to think about.

Okay.

Seriously, if you want to raise a kid to think of a perfectly normal naked human body as nothing but a sexual object, that's your business.

Just my personal opinion but I think it depends on the length of foreskin. If there is a lot of foreskin, I think it makes sense to have it removed. I have know grown men who had it done because they had so much foreskin that it interferred with sex and was a hygeine problem.

I have never been circumcised but my foreskin doesn't even cover half the head of my cock. It keeps the glans sensitive but completely disappears upon erection. I wouldn't think of having it removed.

I'm circumcised, and I hate it. Nobody had any right to do that to me. I feel mutilated. and even though I was a baby, I swear that I can remember getting it done. The pinch, and horrible pain. :(

I hope it becomes illegal, and people get punished for doing it / allowing it happen.

I refuse to let any of my future boys get mutilated. and if it does somehow happen, I'll cut off the doctor's dick.

A little anger and hostility? Damn straight.

Haven't done the research on this. Does anyone know how circumcision came to be the norm in the US? It's not common practice in Europe and since we mostly descend from Europeans...

Do the Jews really have that much control? :)

During a non-circumcision related procedure I was involved in two physicians brought up the subject of the dangers of electro-cautery. The specific example they mentioned was a prominent OB doc who had a new cauterizer. He burned off two penises before he got the hang of it.

Had I known this before my son was born I might have though a bit harder about what I was doing in agreeing to have him circumcized. I wouldn't do it again.

Death is one of the rare complications of circumcision. It says so right on the consent form that no one really bothers to read. It doesn't happen very often but what kind of comfort is that if your baby is the one in a million?

My son isn't. I think it is totally unnecessary and very traumatizing, as is (unless you are very careful) Hospital birth in general. Both My children were Born at Home. Pregnancy is not a sickness its a natural condition and unless there is a complication hospitalization is unnecessary IMO.

If I can have drugs at home, I'm all for it.

I wonder if the people who oppose circumcision are the same people who oppose declawing cats? Just an idle curiosity... I sense a correlation.

And yes, I like circumcised cocks.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Children are curious about everything, and that includes Dad's willie or mom's boobs. They want to know what everything is, and why it's different than theirs.

The two have nothing to do with each other.
