In the depths of depression I used to put cigarettes out on myself. First on my arm, then the palm of my hand, then the bottom of my feet. When that wasn't enough I turned branding words on my leg with knives heated over a candle. The scars on my palms healed the fastest. Unbelievably fast, but then your hands and feet have an extra layer of skin. Some of the scars on my arm & leg are still there, but they're barely noticeable as mild blemishes, even I can no longer read them. It's hard to believe just how long it's been.

I understand the attraction, I certainly would have let someone do that to me at the time. I don't think I (personally) could be healthy on either side of that activity though.
