Chyoo 3.0 Coming Soon

May 14, 2006

Just so all you Chyoo-sters know, we are working on the code for Chyoo version 3.0 and we are hoping for a launch in the next few months. All existing stories should make it over to the new code, so keep on writing!

That was more than a year ago...

Chyoo is downhill a bit. I can't find a single story without shitty grammar or formatting. Sure, most of the Chyoo stories there are smut, but that dosn't mean they can be shit that's hard to read.

When will they make this Chyoo 3? Or is Chyoo forgotten by Laurel and the other guy?

Stories are only as good as the writers. It would be this way with or without CHYOO 3.

Many of the stories in the Freshest list are the ones people add to the most. I'd read those.

I'm not waiting for CHYOO 3. It's dead as far as I'm concerned. I've seen about two messages in the last 3 years giving us the hope of a new version. Still no progress. Forget a new version, and write. And make sure you check spelling and grammar.

There was the nifty chyoo.net by one of the mods...but I haven't seen anything by him in long time, and the site disappeared at some point, don't bother going there now unless you want some unrelated pop-up attack...

I really liked chyoo.net, you could add as many personalised names as you wanted, a pretty sweet feature. Just the mods bad luck that as he got it going this place came back to life...what are the chances!

Hmmm, maybe that’s why, they saw potential competition on the horizon so had to do something.....

Hey, let the conspiracy theories roll! :D

It;s a pity chyoo.net no longer exits. But who knows - maybe some day someone else will make another site similar to chyoo...

I wonder what level of resources (computing, network, Terms of Service) it would take to support the page views that Chyoo gets? It might be interesting to say "for $X a month, a story site like Chyoo could be run."

Now site maintenance and moderation would be a separate issue.

- Z.

I realize this is an old thread, and most folks have given up hope....

But I'd volunteer coding the site, if someone else wanted to host the thing.
