I read the first part of "Chronicles of Spider-Man" on asstr and was happy to discover the rest on Literotica- very original with the right amount of mystery, character development and of course scorching sex! I've been a Spider-Man fan since I was a kid in the late seventies, but in my opinion the best incarnation of Spidey was the 90's and early 00's with him married to Mary Jane the supermodel. I'm glad the story was placed in that era and NOT the movies-with the miscast Kirsten Dunst or the reboot crap "One More Day," Marvel Comics did a few years ago.

I love that Mary Jane is the central character, not Peter Parker. MJ as a loving, loyal trophy wife for Peter but is really dissatisfied with him sexually and secretly longing for a lover- could've gone the predictable path with her screwing a Spidey villain like Venom, Kraven or Scorpion but the author chose the lecherous slob Nick Katzenberg- pure genius!

I read the issues when Nick tried to blackmail MJ into sleeping with him and later his death from lung cancer, on his hospital bed still trying to hit on MJ requesting one last kiss- a lech to the very end. Nick in "Chronicles" was even a worse lech but so sure of himself that he doesn't care what his fellow workers at the Daily Bugle thought of him and doesn't hold anything back- a trait MJ finds increasingly attractive despite her revulsion at his physical appearance; she finds Peter lacking in that trait. Nick doesn't hold anything back with MJ- the ladies room oral sex and under the table mutual masturbation between the two was fantastic but I feel so sorry for Nick that he finally fucked MJ and didn't realize it because he was in a drug-induced fever dream. I wanted MJ and Nick to meet in an empty cabin and fuck each other silly while clueless Spidey was in the city fighting whomever but instead she's seduced by Nick's big-dicked, skinny loser nephew Craig- poor bastard Nick, LOL!

As far as Craig goes, I liked the fact he's a short, wimpy looking kid with acne instead of a high-school super jock, that would've been boring. MJ's feelings of genuine love along with lust for Craig was a revelation- she's married to a handsome, kind, brave superhero but Pete will never satisfy her sexually the way Craig- and good old Nick did. The only thing I disliked about "Chronicles" is it's too damn short - the bottom of the last page had "Continues," so I was surfing the web frantically looking for the next chapters but no luck. SmithPortinoi's last update was in 2009 so I'm guessing he's not planning a sequel. Left hanging at the end of Chapter 5, I'm hoping to find out what Norman Osborn, Felicia Hardy and Osborn's Henchman Dillon are ultimately up to but most of all I want to see if MJ continues her love affair with Craig OR does my favorite slob Nick Katzenberg FINALLY win the heart of Mrs. Parker?! Lots of talented writers on this site and maybe one of you out there would continue the saga- hoping of course you are pro- Nick Katzenberg!

I have to agree that the attack goes a little too far, seems needless and unfair. One thing about Lit I have always appreciated is the extent to which people can be open and honest about things they like - that they can’t talk about elsewhere - without fear of being ridiculed and shamed for it.

If your fetish is to ridicule and shame people needlessly, I’m sure there is a thread for that too. But the “Story Feedback” section probably isn’t the best place for it.

The guy was giving feedback on a story in the “Story Feedback” thread – exactly where it ought to be. It’s actually very good feedback, I think, from an author’s point of view – enthusiastic, well-considered, thorough, not the usual one-liner. It’s constructive, opens a lot of avenues for consideration.
